rfe for nso copy of marriage certificate

Just to update you we got an RFE too and yeah its probably the copy of our NSO marriage certificate.. My question is, can we just call USCIS tomorrow and ask what additional evidence do they need? or we really have to wait for the hard copy?

You need to send a hard copy of the rfe with any evidence you send the USCIS. You want make sure what evidence you send gets sent to the correct location.

Where do I send a response to a Request for Evidence (RFE) or a Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID)?

• Send your response to the office that requested the information, which is usually the service center or field office processing your case.
• Never send these items to a Lockbox facility – you may miss important response deadlines by sending your response to the wrong location.

no they will not tell you anything on the phone. It should not be to long before you get the letter. make sure you send that in with the RFE. Although a rfe is bad. In this case it could be a good thing, because me and another member was approved soon after we sent in the nso marriage certificate

Truth. RFE means someone is actually working on your case.

I hope they will not send you an RFE for NSO copy of marriage certificate. Me and another member on here both file in october.we both sent in the local civil registar copy of marriage certificate and both got rfe asking for nso copy

We got the hardcopy of our rfe last saturday and they are asking for the NSO marriage certificate. My husband sent it today. I hope we get our NOA2 soon. We are a bit behind hehe but its ok as long as our case is moving, i'm good.

I got approved 19 days after I sent in the nso marriage certificate. Another member got approved 9 days after sending it in.

yes I receive the same status on my case after I sent the NSO copy of the certificate in. I am sure your case will be approved before then. I think that is a official notice that they have to give out when they receive RFE evidence. They receive yours on Jan 5. I think before the end of January you will be approve. Relax and do not worry you are almost done with USCIS

The NVC notice are not to reliable The phone# is 1-603-334-0700 put it on speed dial, best time to call is 6am eastern time when they first open and even then you might get busy signal or be put on hold for a very long time just keep trying you will get thru

Thank you for the tips! We'll call next week. I hope you'll get your case number soon. I checked some timelines and it took them almost a month to get their case number after nvc received the case.

Hi! You don't have to mail another i130 packet.. you just gta send the needed documents and the letter. It'll come with instructions.

Thank you very much! I hope the rfe letter comes soon so i can send whatever they're asking for. I'm hoping though that it's just the nso marriage certificate, because i already have a copy of that. If you don't mind me asking, about how long was your approval after you sent in the nso marriage certificate?

I am pretty sure it is asking for the nso copy of marriage certificate too. I have not heard of the other service centers asking for it but Nebraska is for some reason.you will just need to send in the nso copy and the rfe letter you receive in the mail. After they receive the evidence. You should be approve fairly fast. I know of 5 cases now that ask for that.mine took the longest to be approve but it still was not that long it was 19 days after they receive it
