rfe for nso copy of marriage certificate

I have a rfe from uscis for nso copy of marriage certificate.I thought the nso copy was only require at the nvc stage and that I could just send in the local civil registar copy with the I-130 petion

I know that a marriage certificate is require with I-130 petition.that was not my post please read a post next time before replying.I posted that I had a rfe for NSO certificate note the letters Nso copy of marriage certificate from Uscis.when I have heard that you could send in the local civil regestar copy with the I-130 and at the nvc stage they will need the nso copy

Well of course I read the post, I just obviously misunderstood it. I'm guessing you mean certified copy when you say civil registrar copy. If you have the original then just send that one. It's only to be a photocopy anyway, so you have nothing to lose.

I sent my "official" certificate to both USCIS and the Immigrant Visa Unit.

I did send the orginal certify copy of the marriage certificate with signatures from the local civil registar office but i stil got a rfe asking for the nso copy and i was posting to let other know that

NSO documents are more valid compare to the local registrars copy. The local registrars office will endorsed all the documents to the NSO. If you can't get your marriage certificate in the NSO, that means they haven't encoded it yet.

I can get the NSO copy.I would of sent that in instead of the local civil register copy, but I seen post on here that stated for the I-130 petition a copy of the LCR marriage certificate will be okay and once the petition gets approve and sent to the NVC ,then you need to get the NSO copy which is wrong information. I have been married for about 5 months so the NSO should have a copy, but it takes time for the NSO in the Philippines to get the marriage certificate from the local civil register office, especially if you got married in one of the province like me and my wife did. I wanted to let other know that if they are applying for there spouse from the Philippines that they need the NSO copy when they send in their I-130 petition

Yes, they're very slow encoding data. Always send documents that released by NSO to avoid RFE.

Hi everybody good day to all, when i got married in the Philippines back on dec 24th 2013 and filed my i-130 i just sent in the marriage certificate from the local municipality office and they were fine with that so i guess it's something new

Hi Teddy did you get married in manila or one of the other provinces? The reason I am asking is maybe they accept the lCR certificate from manila, but not the other provinces. Me and my wife got married on Pres Garcia Bohol island .Also I am wondering if maybe it depends on what service center is processing the I-130, my is at the Nebraska service center. What service center was yours sent to?

Nevermind last question I see that your I-130 is at the Vermont service center.So maybe each service center does it different.

Hello

We got married here in the Philippines and sent a copy of our marriage certificate from the office of civil registrar. Our case was sent to Nebraska Service Center now we are just waiting for an update. We couldn't check our case on the uscis website yet it coz it says to wait for our Form I-797 by mail... Although I have the NSO marriage certificate already, i hope they wont ask for an RFE anymore coz it would delay the process again (they lost our check btw so we had to cancel it and send another one)

I hope they will not send you an RFE for NSO copy of marriage certificate. Me and another member on here both file in october.we both sent in the local civil registar copy of marriage certificate and both got rfe asking for nso copy

HI guys!

Just to update you we got an RFE too and yeah its probably the copy of our NSO marriage certificate.. My question is, can we just call USCIS tomorrow and ask what additional evidence do they need? or we really have to wait for the hard copy?
