So my current status says "This means you should receive your passport on or about 12/16/2014."

How accurate are those statuses? Can someone care to explain? I applied for it on the second (routine)

I found mine to be quite accurate; they are usually mailed out USPS Priority if you haven't paid extra for something better.

Yeah. I filed for mine on the 2nd. It'd been shipped out on the 10th (received it yesterday, 12th!).

Waiting for my passport card and citizenship certificate now.

I think I got my documents back a couple of days after I received the passports.

Of course, then I had to send one of the passports back because the photograph had not printed correctly. Not sure who quality checks those, but I'm fairly certain one of my kids isn't a ghost as the picture made it appear.
