Has anyone here had any luck getting a tourist visa from the Philippines embassy?

My fiancee just got her K1 Visa. We are talking about getting her mom and dad at the very least over here to attend the wedding next year. My fiancee's mother said I should fill out an I-134 and give them some formal invitation to the wedding then that would help their success rate in getting a tourist visa from the Philippines. But I've been reading on the forums that I-134 doesn't hold any legal binding power so its useless for that visa. And also by showing an I-134, its like saying their intent is immigration because now they have family here....

Anybody have tips for getting a tourist visa specific to the Philippines?

The mother works in Dubai and has traveled back and forth. Their house and car are both under the mother's name. The mother has a job and bank account.

The dad on the otherhand doesn't have anything under his name. He doesn't even have a bank account. But he does have a job that he's been working at for 16 years. He has family and kids.

What do you guys think about that? I feel like the mom can get the tourist visa. But the dad, the chances seem slim.

My fiancee has two sisters and a brother too. But one just started working and the other two are still in University which are hardly ties to the embassy's eyes probabaly especailly now they will have a sister in the US.

ugh so sad. Wish it wasn't so difficult. :protest::crying:

You can blame the people who abuse the privilege not that they would care.

Applying and finding out would be my suggestion.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
