Not at all. I didn't mean to come across that way. I'd say annoyed is more appropriate than angry. Everyone has something to be butt-hurt over.

Okay , not so much angry as annoyed, got it. But it still feels like a personal affront that these women don't get it?

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

Nope, not personal. Doesn't affect me one way or the other.

Dude, watch the video. It's so clear only someone stuck in a Wasserman Schultz mode would go where you are trying to go.

You sell what you advertise. It's always been that way.

Dude..I did watch Video...or I would not be weighing in on this. I don't know what Wasserman Schultz mode looks like. I am trying to think about my daughter and my wife and how I expect society to respect them.

And my quotes were not so long that you need to keep truncating them when you reply.

ETA: Would you like to discuss my emotional state at the moment, or the topic? If you want to talk feelings, we can do this via PM. Maybe I'll give you my Facebook ID and we can chat.

Anyone who has to watch a chick doing a video with a guy towing a cart in front of her to learn what men say to girls on the street needs to get out more often. That's why the contrast of the guy in the shopping mall complimenting women on their physical appearance is more truthful than the other. Most men are aware of where the line between being complimentary and offensive lives. However, militant fems would like to put the line into a place that will never happen. If it did, then every father needs to start teaching their daughter's how to chase men.

As for your quotes, I simply extract the real message from the fluff you have that surrounds it

Fair enough, I removed the meaningless information from your last quote.

The gentleman in your video is complimenting trapped women. The majority of them are at their jobs. At your job, you cannot say 'that is inappropriate, sir,' lest you risk offending the customer.

An example. I worked at as a clerk in a pet shop and there was an older gentleman who would track me down wherever I was in the store to pay me 'compliments.' Compliments such as 'hey baby, are you a good girl today or are you my bad little girl?' or 'hey gorgeous, what's a beautiful girl like you doing in a nasty old place like this?' I informed my boss that I found his attitude towards me creepy and inappropriate and was told that, if this was the case, rather than engaging with him I should smile and shake my head and shrug. If it was an actual compliment, I should smile and say thank you. This man came into the store every single day and I often worked 6 days a week. I had no other option than to behave as these women are.

The video also showed a woman in a coat and scarf who I assume was a customer. He complimented her on her hair and she said thank you in a rather high pitched, strained voice, and began to move away. He began apologizing and she came back to accept the apology in the same high pitched voice, the words coming quickly. Why might this be? Because many women are afraid NOT to accept a compliment or apology for a man because men have often been known to become more aggressive in the compliments, to cause a very large public scene or to become physically aggressive. Some women have been beaten or killed for not behaving as a man expects her to.

As for the NYC cat call video, as a man, I don't think you understand how we feel when we walk the streets. She wasn't being 'rude' she was protecting herself. I live in Toronto. Not quite as big as NYC, but definitely a pedestrian city. I have had gentlemen say 'excuse me miss, what's the time?' and when I answered politely with the time, they have followed me for blocks offering to show me their ####### and in one rather memorable case, grabbed my arm and attempted to drag me off.

I would posit that it is not actually safe to respond to a man saying 'good morning' and I would go on to ask you 'do you say good morning to random men walking down the street as often as you do random women? Why or why not?' and 'If not, is this because you find it uncomfortable or rude to jolt a stranger out of their morning/afternoon/etc commute?' and 'how would you feel if you couldn't step out of your house without wondering if the next person to say good morning would attempt to drag you away?'

FIRST, it's not MY video. It's a video conceived and created by Steven Crowder.

Second, if you think he's a "gentleman" then what are you complaining about?

So, he cornered them in their workplace while he performed cat calls to their face on video. Wow, the left is way desperate today.

My wife gets talked to like this all the time, by men as well as women. Often it's due to clothes or shoes, but sometimes it's just men trying to fumble over a pickup line. 90% of the time her response is a polite "Thank you!". But if it happens to be a guy, and he persists past line number one, she shows her ring, smiles, and tells him she is married. Doesn't always deter them, and that is when she may resort to rudeness to get him to leave her alone. Never seen her turn rude from the start. Then again, some people are just more rude than others, no matter the situation, eh?

I know this was not directed towards me, but I have been kinda looking for a nice man to share feelings with on FB. Can I get your Facebook ID Sir?

1) Your video in the sense that you posted it. Not your video in the sense that you made it.

2) I meant gentleman in the sarcastic sense. Sorry, I forgot to put quotes around 'gentleman' because I assumed the sarcasm was obvious.

3) I find it telling that rather than addressing the actual content of my post, you feel it necessary to nitpick two points completely unrelated to any of the content of my post.

I disagree with the content of your post almost from the first to the last syllable. What's to discuss? You're not about to change my mind, and I'm not about to change yours. Take a chill pill. Life's way to short than to expend so much energy trying to change things that cannot be changed.

So we can all be clear on this... is the term in your head always "gentleman" in your head because you don't like men?

I actually found the majority of the original video to be inoffensive. I'm trying to understand why she ignored the nice ones. Yes I get that she was trying to make a point, but she was bejng just as rude. The second video I found the guy to just simply be charming.

So if you found the majority to be inoffensive , you found some part offensive. If the lapsed time in public is 10 hours...that sounds like the equivalent 5 or 6 trips to the mall on average. Out of those 5 or 6 trips how many offensive comments should I expect my wife or daughter to hear, on average? My expectation is zero on their behalf.

Does that mean no strangers should talk to my wife in the Starbucks line? Am I anti flirting or anti conversation? No, but respect and context are the key to appropriate behavior.
