How long after the USCIS provides an NOA2 do you have to get the visa stamped in your passport? I've heard it is four months until expiration?

Or is it four months after it arrives to the embassy in the fiancee's country?

How much can you rely on the embassy extending it? What is the extension process like?

How long can they extend it for? I just need more information regarding this.

NOA2 is valid for 4 months, starting when the USCIS approves the petition. Most embassies automatically extend the expiration date, but you can contact your consulate right before NOA2 expires just to be sure that your expiration date is extended.

Correct.

As long as the embassy knows you are actively pursuing the visa, they may automatically extend it. You can also email the embassy to verify that they will, or ask them to extend it. The original petition can be extended for up to 1 year.
