So after a wonderful member on here helped me fill in the AOS documentation and after the bio-metrics appointment the wait started. After 75 days I was able to ask for a service request reply, well nearly 2 weeks later I received this reply:

It's essentially a non-answer that acknowledges the delay and says that it's not your fault, but they're doing the best that they can. And they're sorry. Not that informative, in my opinion.

As to what to do next, I'm not sure that you can push for an expedite unless you have strong reasons, e.g., a job offer or emergency situation. Perhaps you could look into getting your congressman or congresswoman involved.

As an aside, you might want to ask a moderator to remove the identifying details such as your email address, etc. Unless of course, you've already edited those before posting and they're not your actual details.

Yes youre right on both things. I realised that I had unintentionally copied private information which I deleted and hopefully it's gone and yes, the answer is so vague! I don't know what to do, I can't book an airline ticket for Christmas and they don't give me any advice as what to do next, just a standard reply that offers no alternative to a service request. I am wondering if any fellow visa journey members have a problem with Nebraska or am I the only one?

What a joke. We're well beyond the expected time frame (Noa1 is August 6th), and we're getting the same bs. All the while, people who filed a month+ after we did have their EAD cards, and some of the August people have already had their green card interviews!!! I don't begrudge these people their speedy success, but it's extremely frustrating to sit and wait... and wait... and wait... :(

Edit to add: LOL Shell20! I was replying to this thread while you were replying to mine. ha

Yes just seen another of your posts when looking around and it seems we have the same number MSC and that we are both with Nebraska. I want to book an air ticket to visit my son for Christmas but I can't and I know any added delay will put the ticket price through the roof and I wont be able to afford it and why can't I afford it when it gets pricer? I don't have a job and why don't I have a job, oh yeah that's right I don't have and EAD card. Go figure! lol

We're in the exact same boat! We're trying to get to South Africa for Easter (5 of us going is EXPENSIVE!) and the longer this EAD takes, the less likely it is we'll be able to afford to go. :( his mother isn't getting any younger, and he worries about not being able to see her again.

I don't want my son alone for Christmas, as it would be his first without me. I have read online though that you can email the ombudsman, if it is over 90 days and you have initiated a service request with no success. Have you done this yet?

Thank you so much! I dont understand why they haven't done yours yet, you sent off for yours a few days before mine and you did a service request before I did. I hope they sort it out ASAP. Now you have reached 90 days you can email the ombudsman if you wish to do so. You will be in my prayers tonight, hope you get good news shortly!

I saw your post on the EAD. Congratulations, seems they must have gone through a bunch and the delay was probably the update of their computer systems. I think I prefer the old one, although the new one is much more informative. Now we can compare our experiences on how long it takes to receive and whether or not we go to interview or get a waiver. Just one thing I find very confusing it said my AP was approved on the 6th, EAD on the 7th. The EAD says it is in production or did this morning, the AP just says approved. I am now a bit confused I thought they were a combined card. AP is very important to me as you know, any insights would be appreciated, is it saying the same thing when you look at it? Again congrats. x
