Ok...I-130 filed for my step daughter. I paid the $420 with the petition, so now that's done. Just waiting for the email/text and them to suck the money out of my account. Here's my questions:

1. All other fees are now paid directly to the NVC? (Except the medical which should be $185 for a minor at St. Luke's in Manila?)

2. AOS fee=$120. What is that for? AOS=Affidavit of support and is for the I-864?

3. IV=$325. What is an 'IV'?

4. Immigrant fee=$165. I assume that's for her green card, or permanent resident status?

I appreciate everyone here and any answers I will receive. I know I keep asking a lot of the same questions, but this is important life stuff. Don't want to screw anything up.

Thanks again.

Hey apple...thanks for the info. Can you break it down a little further for me? What, if anything, is to be paid in Manila at the embassy? Or do I just pay everything online except for the medical?

thanks again in advance

You don't pay for anything at the embassy.

The medical fee is paid cash at SLEC on the day of the exam.

AOS and IV fees are paid directly to NVC.

Immigrant fee is paid directly to USCIS (via ELIS) after visa is received and before departing to the US.
