COME ON YOU R MARRING THEM OR R MARRIED TO THEM... I THINK THAT YOU SOULD KNOW THAT ABOUT YOUR SPOUSE BEFORE U EVER GET THIS FAR... JUST MY THOUGHT. MY HUSBAND AND I SIT HERE AND READ THIS STUFF AND ITS LIKE. WHAT DID YOU GUYS ALL TALK ABOUT ON THE NET IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THEY CELEBRATE. Just one thing to the OP, we tend to use proper english in this forum and not "u" instead of "you". We use capital letters in the beggining of a sentence and punctuation as well.

You know about each other but you don't know that typing in CAPS is yelling. Who doesn't have a clue now? :jest:

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I agree with you. I see people in real and read their posts here on VJ also; I wonder what they're life will be like in 5 or 10 years...after the honeymoon is over and they have had kids?! But still is not our place to judge. Only give support where we can... people pick and choice their own lives.

But I agree also on the communication bit...very important for a successful marriage, esp if it is long distance.

Why the caps?

First of all I'm a wee bit baffled as to why you made this thread in addition to pm'ing me. I posted that question not to ask if my husband is doing something wrong/right and not because it wasn't discussed beforehand. It was but it slipped my mind....how he celebrates Valentines day wasn't exactly a dealbreaker...sowwwy.

The purpose of the question was to see how other Muslims act on that day. It's a little hard when everyone around you is celebrating something and you are not. Kind of like a kid at a birthday party who isn't allowed to celebrate or eat the cake. I posted something similar around Christmas and got some wonderful feedback.

If you don't like a thread, here's a tip...don't open it up!

Huh? O I see now why this thread started....ooooooooo ok...Anyway Doodle I see nothing wrong with you asking about ValentineDay. I think alot people would have asked about that. But anyway... looks like some people just wana pick (as usual here on VJ)

Ok I am done with this thread. Too much drama forming .

SORRY oh i mean sorry is that better however thats not what i meant. for god sakes. all i said was why (y) not ask your husband thats all. people good night.... oh and assalaam not snotty ok but whatever enjoy your popcorn,

Since your husband is from Morocco and does not celebrate Valentine's Day I just assumed that he is Muslim and that you were familiar with the term "assalam alaykum". Assalam alaykum means "may peace be upon you". I'm not sure how that can come across as offensive at all but I apologize if it offended you in anyway. I won't respond to this anymore.

Not to mention it's not an islamic phrase, it's arabic, so if her husband is moroccan, he can school her on the fact that it's not rude, but in fact polite.

How can one claim God cares to judge a fornicator over judging a lying, conniving bully? I guess you would if you are the lying, conniving bully.

the long lost pillar: belief in angels

she may be fat but she's not 50

"poisoned by a jew" sounds like a Borat song

LOL Here we go with the communication huh......she doesn't even know what the arabic 'hello' means....hmmmmm....i think before she starts picking on others, she should start with herself and learn a bit more about the OTHER culture and not just making him celebrate V-day!!!

Enough said!
