oh god.. this entire story made me so nervous now.

I think i have to deal with this same issue with us as well.

  • My parents are dead. I lived alone since 10 or 12 years. And i have left Nepal (my country, that is where i hold nationality of) and been living in India since 10 to 12 years. And my interview will be at Delhi embassy not in kathmandu embassy
  • We have 20 yrs approx (precise 23 yrs difference in age)
  • Our wedding was not grand. So we have only one fren of her.
  • We are not much photo people.. so we just have like 50-70 (max photos) of us together
  • I met her during the time i was managing the camp and she was my client (guest)
  • good thing is we were never married. We have filed cr1 for spouse visa. Any suggestion or advise

Scared.. After reading the entire thing... Thanks for sharing info.

And congratulation to you and your fiancee

why should they be fired? They were doing what they are paid to do, weed out fake relationships. I attended my husband;s interview with him and we were both questioned in depth, neither one of us had a problem with it, it;s part of the immigration process and if your relationship is real there is no reason to be nervous. Pakistan is a high fraud country, not only is it a high fraud country, it;s also crawling with terrorists who would do just about anything to get to the US. As a US citizen you should be happy that the consulate is doing it's job. Would you rather have them not question people and hand out visas to people just because they ask? The fact of the matter is this couple has a non traditional relationship that goes against cultural norms in Pakistan, that is why she was questioned so much. The CO's job is to make sure scammers don't worm their way into the country, and I for one, have no problem with that.

considering my fiance was treated like a scammer when applying for a tourist visa and was subsequently denied, I tend not to respect the decision-making ability of the consulate. I have known people that have slipped through the cracks with questionable merits and those that seem to have everything together and are denied. Terrorists will find a way to come here regardless. Fear-mongering, suggesting that one terroist is angling to come here on marriage/fiance visa is not based in reality.
