hi everyone. my husband and i filed for aos in nov and we received a letter saying we have our intial interview in march. i didnt know that the interview comes that fast. does that mean anything? what kind of things do they ask at the interview? i am nervous. is it a big deal? thanks!

I am in the same boat!!! I met my husband through mutual friends in the US. We were married in June and in August We applied for the EAD i-130 and i-485. Well guess what???? Besides doing the biometric appointment, the next notice we received was to go on the interview. I PANICKED BIG TIME.....

Unfortunately, we live in a post 9-11 world, I was unable to put my husband on ANYTHING without a social security number or a driver's license. I live in NY and of course the catch 22 is no social security number, no license. So I'm hoping that pictures and that our relationship will show. I am also bring documentation that I can not put him on anything until he gets his social security number (including adding him to my cable bill). I also don't have joint tax returns because we were just married this year.....

By the way, my husband received notice earlier in the month with approval for his EAD. We received the EAD and RAN to the Social Security Office to apply for his card. We received notice that will take four weeks because he wasn't in the system as of that date. We received a notice on Saturday stating his application was approved and we should receive his card in the mail in the next two weeks. I am bringing this as proof as well.

Please say a little prayer as we are so nervous!! On top of this stress, I think the stork will be bringing us a little gift in nine months (I won't know more about that until Thursday or Friday)......
