Nervous Wreck...

Honest to god, I am bricking it so bad, English isn't my first language (Welsh is), If i'm under pressure I will stutter and forget my words, I am catching the train to London tomorrow for my interview on the 7th, I have everything plus a little bit more, Just to be safe.

Is it normal to feel this stressed/ scared? I've got pretty bad anxiety and don't like being in a room full of strangers, Is there someone on here who has an appointment on the 7th?

Read the embassy reviews, they show that it's a cakewalk for most people. You'll probably spend most of your time sitting in a chair in the waiting room.

And yes, it's normal to feel scared/anxious. The stakes are high because this is a hurdle between you and your loved one. But because you're going through London, the chances of approval are also high. So, you will be fine.

Whatever you do, don't go to the nearby Starbucks before your interview.

Don't stress yourself out worrying about appearing nervous. You won't be the only one. Just focus on you. From what you've written, you're well prepared, so just remember to smile and answer the questions. I predict you'll do just fine.

Yes it's normal - I was terrified. But you've got this far, and really this last bit is just a formality! Just try and relax (easier said than done i KNOW!) And just think, after tomorrow you'll be good to go

Sending well wishes and calm thoughts your way. London seems pretty easy, and I'm sure the CO's can empathize with how nervous you are. I maybe would just tell them how you feel and why, to break the ice. Please update us after you've been approved.

Sending you well wishes too. My husband was more nervous about the armed guards outside and around the Embassy vs. the actual interview. His interview was this past Monday. He said at the first window the Asian lady who did his document check spoke very quietly, so don't be afraid to ask them to speak up if you cannot hear or ask them to speak slow and clear.

Good luck to you and I know you will do great! Like lots have said the interview is more of a formality. We got approved on Monday and he received the visa yesterday. Think positive and be excited as this nightmare of a process is almost over!

You'll be fine Hiroshi! i completely choked up when i got to the actual interview but the guy i had was super nice and told me not to be nervous its just a chat, i was so anxious that i even gave some conflicting information and then had to back track to explain what i really meant, i kept losing my voice completely but he was patient throughout and we even joked about it so dont be alarmed! i cant speak for all of the officers but the majority i could see behind the windows had very friendly smiles and seemed super nice!

I haven't had my K1 interview yet but I have been there twice before for J1 visa appointments whilst I worked at a summer camp and everyone was always extremely pleasant to interact with. Wishing you the best of luck!

We are APPROVED!!!! :') That was the most scariest thing ever and the guy was looking at me like he didn't believe me, But right at the end he smiled and said you're visa is approved, Congratulations
