I need to VENT:

the AOS process is taking WAY too long. I am in the process from a K-1. Being prcessed @ Baltimore. Filed and accepted in early february, biometrics mid march, interview WAIVER letter in June, ans STILL nothing.

I truly wonder, what these folks at that field office are doing all day long? it is 9 (!!!!) friggin months now! I am truly fed up and still can't do anything. But it is proof that the work ion these offices is truly bad. And it is not the case, that they would have benn "flooded" with applications these last 6 monhs or so.

What are YOUR experiences?

Oh no! I am sorry to hear that. :( . Many filers from June already have the green card. Have you tried to make an infopass appointment and asked how is it going with your I-485? You have waited too long, I guess. On the letter says it is up to 6 months.

The wait time is actually shorter if a person has an interview. It shouldn't be much longer though and you have your EAD so really it's not such a big deal, is it?

Waiting for the biometrics letter. In line with similar timelines, I should get it some time this week. However, there are some who filed around the same time who haven't even received their receipts yet.

Given that Obama is going to make an announcement about immigration any day now, I predict that things are going to get worse.

Baltimore is a local office, the Chicago lockbox is the correct filing address.

They definitely don't notify you of receipt within 24 hours, they notify you within about 1 to 3 weeks via mail.

2014 1/9 Interview - Approved, 1/15 CEAC - Issued, 1/17 Visa in hand, 2/5 POE: LAX, 4/4 Married!, 4/8 AOS/EAD/AP filed, 4/14 NOA1, 5/7 Walk-in biometrics, 5/19 EAD/AP approved (expedited), 5/22 EAD/AP mailed, 5/23 EAD/AP received, 7/29 Interview waiver letter

2015 4/13 AOS approved (no interview), 4/22 Green card received

2017 1/17 I-751 ROC filed (VSC), 1/23 NOA, 2/28 Biometrics

not surprised if there are tons of people that came on tourist visas, married, and then stayed in the US, effectively jumping ahead of you in line and causing backlog.
