Embassy is so slow...

I know your pain, When the embassy told me that, I just did the ds160 and application of readiness again, 3 days later I had my interview letter in the post, don't bother message them with the AA number cause I did, they took 2 weeks to reply back to that, I would Submit them both again. I took the 2nd ds160 to the interview.

I never got a response back to my "desperation" email so my fiance messaged them.

They replied back to him stating they DID have all the paperwork and to wait 6 weeks for the interview.

We already knew they had the paperwork, even though we were told they didn't. (Someone was far too lazy to do their job!)

I just hope it's 6 weeks from when we filed and not 6 weeks from today.

Anyone have an idea about how long it takes for the embassy to schedule the interview and that date reflect on the page where you pay the visa and courier fee?

This process is frustrating, it's a lot of waiting around waiting for people to process paperwork. It's slow, but you just have to calm your nerves and try and be patient. Obviously you have huge life changing moments coming up, but that honestly probably doesn't mean anything to them unfortunately! If the Doctor sent the paperwork on the 10th then the embassy might have received it on the 15th? I think the 6 weeks they're talking about is from the date that they received everything. All the emails you're sending and submitting the readiness form numerous times is not doing you any favours I imagine. I know you just want to get it sorted, but you will just have to wait. The 6 weeks isn't up yet, when it is, get your fiance (who's the UK resident I gather?) to make a phone call to ask. It's like waiting in line at the butchers, you have a number and you just have to stick to it and sit patiently until it's called. Hang tight and good luck.

You know you can't call the embassy about immigrant visa's, right?

This is nothing like waiting in line with a number. It's not a first come first serve basis...

I used the wrong saying since I get that it's not first come first serve process, but there is a lot of waiting around. They give you a time frame and you have to wait during that time frame, once you've not heard anything then start the ball rolling on getting in contact with them.

Absolutely! Our 6 weeks is up on the 19th and I really hope we hear something before then.

This morning I checked the CEAC to see if our case had been looked at. It hadn't been..

I thought, if I send a message now, they won't read it until next week and it will be 6 weeks then. So I sent the message. Literally, within 10 mins the file was pulled again and I got this response...

"Visa records show that an interview date has been scheduled for you on December 9th at 0900. Written notification of this date and time was sent to you on November 13th."

Ahhhhhh, I am so unbelievably happy!
