Hello all. :)

I'm just trying to follow up on my AOS for my husband. It's currently outside of the processing time, and I called already about it and was told to wait 45 days to call back about it. Good enough. Well I'm approaching the 45 day mark and was wondering, instead of calling, if there is an email address I could correspond with instead. For some reason, I've had better results when I've emailed people rather than calling. It was touched on 8/9/06 for the longest time and only recently was touched again on 1/15/07. Five months with no touch! The wait is excruciating, but we're getting through it. :P

I just wanted to inquire again about it through email if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm at CSC btw, and was transferred there last July.

I based it on https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Proc...nter=California beside the I-485, and the gentleman on the phone agreed that it was outside the processing times. While I am waiting, I'd like to also keep inquiring which I think is my right. :)

The guy on the phone at the service center said it was outside of the processing time, which is odd because I now see what you are saying. I also saw another post that gave csc-xii.129f@dhs.gov as an email address.. I'm wondering if I should just put csc-xii.485@dhs.gov or something along those lines to email?

BTW, sorry I sounded snappy in my last post. Not my intention but I realized after I re-read what I wrote how that might have come across.

You could always make an infopass appointment at your local office and enqire there as to your case....

Kez

In my case...I phoned and after discussing it at length "we" arrived at this conclusion. The "expected" processing times for marriage based AOS in ALL areas is six months. As I was six months plus about a week the person on the misinformation line agreed to make a service request. That has been about a week. She indicated that I should get an update within a month.

I'm really curious to know if that email address works. I read on the uscis site about contacting the service center for specific case requests instead of the 1800 number, but since they don't give our numbers or emails for service centers (at least not in plain site) I have no idea how to do this!
