hi if you know the date your petition was mailed from nvc then go to dhl.com and click search then click by referance enter CORRESPONDENCE from 03801 then look at all the ones sent to your consulate then you can track one of the numbers when it arrives in the country it is going to you will see at gateway that means it is in customs and you have to wait for it to clear. then you will watch and see deliverd signed by stamp that is when it is there but you still have to wait for it to be entered into computer. good luck

How do you know they receive at NVC? Is this from letter you received from them?

I think I was late filing for AOS:

07/27/07: Mailed AOS papers to Chicago mailbox.

08/02/07: AOS papers received in Chicago.

You will get a letter from NVC stating your case number. Usually it's well after your case has been entered and sent to the consulate. If you have an approval, you can email them or call them and ask to see if a case number has been assigned and whether it has been sent to the consulate.

See the NVC forum for info on emailing and calling.

ETA: I noticed you are at CSC... I've heard they take a few weeks before they send it to NVC.

Ok...

Go to DHL.com

It will ask for your location... I always put USA, even though I'm not there. I assume it will work just the same for other locations, though... but if in doubt, choose the US.

At the top there are some drop-down menus... hover your cursor over the 'Track' menu, then select 'track by reference'... click on it.

In the 'reference' field, type: correspondence

Use the date drop-down menus to select dates a day or so either side of when the NVC claimed to have forwarded your petition to the consulate.

In the 'origin postal code' field, type: 03801

Then click 'track'.... and wait for the results to come up. You might get a few pages... but hopefully you will find one or more packages going to your consulate. Click on the red tracking number for a package, and you will be able to track its progress and see when it's been signed for at the consulate.

Hope that helps!

I personally found that tracking from the NVC to Manila via DHL to be a great waste of time, inaccurate and unreliable. By the time DHL tracking indicated our package shipment and delivery date, I alrerady had the email from the NVC and my fiancee had the conformation letter from the Embassy. Good luck, Ken & Maria
