Well there its two sides to each story. We dont know her story actually. You are a man and you need to make it work six months is not enough time to know someone and plus thats why its so hard for someone to get a visa from your country because of the high rate of scam. Honestly you dont want it to work if your leaving so quickly!!

You are a grown man, and YOU know when things are not right, and IF that is the case, then "prepare yourself" for what has been described, if you want to go back to your homeland then do so, if you want to stay here, then start doing the things described here, to help you stay.

Very sorry you are going through this pain; If she's acted up like this throughout the entire 6 months of marriage, I wonder what made her go to all the expense and trouble to get the K-1 visa, and then marry you?

Try to collect evidence of your bonafide marriage, and then move on. Nobody should have to stay with someone who treats them as badly as this.

chris_trina you cannot say that what this person is going through is wrong. The fact is it can happen to anyone. His country has nothing to do with it; especially since more than his country is flagged for fraud. (Don't throw stones).

To the gentleman, if talking doesn't work, how about counseling? You honestly don't know if the daughter recent you because she wanted her parents to stay together or what her mom is telling her. I've seen so many few guys go through this. The wife doesn't respect them and neither does the children.

If you must go make sure all your ducks are in a row. Because once you leave her, she will not help you with paperwork or anything else. She surely will lied about why you came over to. (Don't be surprised!) Also, go get checked out and present her with the results. The proof is in the pudding! Maybe then she will be willing to have an adult conversation.

We don't know all sides of the story! Also, most major US cities have Workforce Centers. They can help you with interviewing, resume workshops, and job placements. Good Luck

1. You can apply for a ROC whilst pending or being divorced; this happens all the time. You will need evidence that you entered the marriage in good faith. If you indeed did contract an STD/STI and you can prove that your wife had it originally, you will have the infidelity edge in both the divorce as well as the ROC. Use protection (condoms), and refuse to be intimate without it, if you must be intimate at all.

Apply for a divorce as soon as possible. Any child born of the marriage will be assumed to be yours until a DNA test proves otherwise. A divorce proceedings with custody also take years rather than months. You don't want nor need that headache.

Gather any evidence of you two cohabiting, lease with your name(s) on it, mail sent to that address, bank statements in both your names, photos of you two together out and about, photos of you meeting her family, reciepts of items you purchased for each other, any bills in your name for the family home.

Move out, no use staying there whilst divorcing it will just make things complicated. Since it's just you, you can likely rent a room somewhere or an efficiency apartment.

A country of almost 200 million do u want to tell me everybody are scammers? Well for your information I truly love her from the beginning and fell into this head over heels becos she was professing false love to me. I was brought up to give people a chance and when you fail my trust once you don't get another like the first time. I have actually given my spouse up to 10 times to change and the lies just kept coming. I discovered is who she is. I was in another country before I have to leave that place to stay in Nigeria for a year processing the papers spent money and time. For your information I am a devoted believer in Christ and she pretended to be a devotee too but I was shock to find out she don't only hate going to church but hate prayers and even discussing the bible. Amos 3:3 says how can two walk together except they agree? If we are not on the same page how can we mingle? You play worldly music and I play gospel. Chris Trina, I don't pray for even my enemies to be in my shoes for what I have been through. I not happy bringing our story here but I do need some inputs so I will know where to go from here. I can say she has been 100% evil to me but I tell you whatever 20% good she does when in good mood the 80% ill treatment surpasses all that. My marriage fell apart two weeks after the wedding. It took the assistant of a nurse practitioner in my church to prescribe for me to get med from cosco. I thought when I get married life becomes easier but more lonely now and I don't mind saying goodbye to America if that will guarantee my happiness. If I get my conditional green card for two yrs is enough to make up for my lost but if I scale through this sucessfully it will be nice to have another chance at love.

You are not on trial here and don't have to defend yourself. People that judge you would not stay with their own cheating spouse

to try to "work it out" as they tell you to do. Pay no attention to them and follow the advice on how to ROC. Sometimes you just have to sift out the

noise here to get to the nuggets that are helpful.

Have you filed to adjust your status yet? Based on this post I get the impression you have not.

If you have not, you cannot file to adjust your status without your spouse signing the affidavit of support. If you have already filed and have yet to recieve your GCG or attend your interview, you will face a lot of difficulties to get your GCG. You'll need to get an immigration attorney to face them, which is expensive.

@d30d3. This is where I am at right now. We have filed for adjustment already and I got me EAD Combo card so I was praying to God for an interview waiver which I received a letter for about 2 weeks ago that I might not be interviewed. I was so excited because we are not prepared for this because she refused to change her name to my last name and get the bills in our names etc. when I tell her about the importance of doing this she says it does not matter that USCIS will not care if she is still bearing her maiden name or not .

I meant CGC or Conditional Green Card.

If you've not yet to get your CGC then you'll need to get an attorney to get your CGC without a VAWA claim, which you don't have. Infidelity is not abuse, just a bad spouse.

I would suggest you both get tested for STI/STD's, and you both attend marriage counseling, this will work with you both when seeking a divorce and for you as well when seeking your GC and ROC.
