Thank you my dear and yes it's been a while now and hearing my husbands beautiful voice everyday hold me through all and the love of my parents. Best parents in the world, plus I have no other choice but to hang in there. I think your situation is more difficult than mine you also don't have any help but your dear Grandfather is bed ridden if not mistaken and that is much, much more difficult. I'm praying so hard you get your expedite but it's best to think the way you do. But I will rejoice if they have the compassion to honor their own policy Insha'Allah! smileys-praying-931534.gift5063.gif

You're welcome. :) I will pray for you as well. Insha'Allah, you will get some good news soon.

Ok guys.....here's the issue:

.I received an email on what I thought was a false checklist for "original birth certificate and marriage license on 10/22/14.

.I called on that day and 3 TIMES AFTER THAT WITHIN 3 WEEKS....for details on the checklist.

.Reps kept telling me that they need original docs of marriage license and birth certificate which I sent in on 9/26/14.

.reps told me on 3 different occasions "oh I see we received mail on 9/26 that might not have been reviewed yet.

.Last monday I called and was told that I need an inextensa birth certificate and the notarization on the marriage licence needs to come from a different office.

What im confused abt is why no one could tell me this until as of last monday when I called. Now they keep saying that the standard time is 60 days to review. I would've gotten them exactly what they needed if a competent rep could've told me that. That was the entire reason for the last "now 5 calls"

Does anyone think a supervisor could change this 60 day BS?!?!?!

So sorry about that, the reps are nasty and notorious for telling different lies. I doubt if a supervisor can change their policy, but there's no harm in trying. You can ask of supervisor Silvia, Octavio or Betsy.

Marriage: 12/10/2013
Sent I-130: 1/23/14
NOA1: 1/30/14
NOA2: 6/10/14
Email that it was shipped to nvc: 6/23/14
Received by NVC: 7/1/14
Case#/IID# assigned: 7/16/14
Received/Submitted DS-261: 7/29/14
Paid AOS fee: 7/30/14
Sent AOS packet: 8/1/14
Aos fee showing PAID: 8/2/14
Received and paid IV Fee: 9/8/14 (fee showing paid / DS-260 available 9/9/14)
Submitted DS-260: 9/11/14
Sent IV packet: 9/24/14
NVC Received 9/26/14

Arrived in US: 3/8/14

STILL HAPPY AND NORMAL AS OF 8/4/2016!!

AOS Approved per phone: 10/22/14
*Received what I thought was a false checklist on this date as well*

*Problems: Called on 10/27/14 11/5/14 and 11/20/14 just to be proactive On all of these dates except the last, NVC kept telling me that my IV document probably hadn't been reviewed yet. On 11/20 the representative told me that the BC needed to be inextensa and the marriage license. True enough I had sent an extracto. But requested a supervisor review bc I knew the marriage lic was inextensa. 2 days later called again and got the same supervisor who told me that the marriage lic needed the proper signed legalizada (sticker on the back)

Sent necessary documents/Received: 11/20/14 and 11/26/14

Called 12/15/14: got Arthur....after he checked and verbally spanked he sent me to supervisor Silvia who said she would pull my file and try to figure it out.

Case complete: 12/19/14 Sylvia called and left a voicemail, called and confirmed later that night and status changed to N/A.

Thank you so much Sylvia. May God bless you and your family.

Appointment date and time received: 12/27/14

***FAST FORWARD***

Hi Amanda

Guess what they emailed me this morning to say they have rescheduled my interview and then wrote down my current date and time for the new one. I have emailed them back but with Thanksgiving I will have to wait until Friday or Monday for an answer. If it is next Tuesday I will be frantically booking flights on Monday afternoon!

Oh, those silly sausages! I hope they get back to you first thing tomorrow. And I hope your interview is ASAP. How exciting to know they have rescheduled it, so no matter when (2nd, 9th or 16th) you should be able to make it home for Christmas! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Well it is official CC as of Nov 25. Scan date is Oct 2, confirmed it with the rep. and without a checklist.

Big thanks to all VJ members for their support, especially soloenta for keeping us all sane with her love and prayers, let us all pray she gets her CC sooner rather than later, and just remember ( What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.) we will all be with our loved ones NVC may delay us but they won’t stop us. Now to the interview thread.

To all of you who are waiting for CC I wish you the best of luck. And yes they are working on October.

I also asked if they started scheduling interviews and the answer was not yet.

Aww thank you so much my sweet friend what a kind thing to say. I am truly thrilled your almost free of this nightmare. God bless you and I pray the rest of your journey is a quick and smooth one :Dt5063.gif

Does anyone think a supervisor could change this 60 day BS?!?!?!

I'm so very sorry for this sweet heart, something sort of like this happened to me and when I talked to a supervisor they said they can't go find my files there are to many to look through. But I did call again the next day spoke to a supervisor an they had it in less than 30 days but in my case they did nothing until the third supervisor I spoke to who told me what I needed to send. It was all BS, full of lies, they are just heartless. But try it can't hurt you may be one of the lucky ones. Praying all is worked out quickly. t5063.gif

Well its ofifical now!!

CC NOV 25 !!

I am so happy!! now just waiting for the interviewdate!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone that celebrates it ...

I hope that even though we are all going through this broken process called "legal immigration" we can each find something in our life's to be thankful for.

I am thankful that my husband is on the mend after a motorcycle accident this past Sunday and that he is alive to continue the process of immigrating. Never thought I would be thankful to still be in the process but I am. At least I still have a husband and the need to be at NVC with a checklist

Yes...for the 4th year in a row I am missing my American family,Turkey,Pumpkin pie and the whole shibang...I have next years Thanksgiving to look forward too.

I have a dear old friend that lost his wife last year to breast cancer at just 46 years young and has an empty chair at his table. God Bless every one of you.

I think it would be great to fill a couple of these pages with messages of thankfulness and support to everyone out there - I encourage everyone to post something that they are thankful for and why - hopefully this will help all of those going through tough times and remember to be thankful for the small wins in life. Things that make you smile or things that make you truly happy and joyful. Here I go...

I am thankful for my next door neighbor. She isn't on here but she doesn't know what she does, helping with my two kids (even though she has two herself!) - Sits and has coffee with me while husband is away on tons of business trips across the world. We have even created a little nook in the hallway of our apt building when we can't leave our houses (because our two youngest are taking naps!). Talking and laughing helps.
I am also thankful that I do have my husband here with me and my heart goes out to the many that are separated until this process is over. I am at a loss as to how I'd love to bring coffee to all of you and sit across from you and laugh and cry while you are going through all of this alone. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there!! (L)(L)(L)(L)(L)
NOW IT'S YOUR TURN - FILL THESE PAGES UP WITH LOVE AND THANKFULNESS...IF EVEN FOR JUST A DAY! :goofy:
