Hehehee ty ;), Oh wonderful news i don't feel so bad for the long Checklist wait then OMG remember reading it was taking up to 9 months and longer for an interview. Thank God, thank God this has changed. :DHaven't felt this happy in a very long time. :Dt5063.gifhttp://www.pic4ever.com/images/127fs2361263.gif[/img]And congratulations on your CC letter/e-mail :D127fs2361263.gif

Oh my 55 days I thought it was more like 30 but that was just a dream. Still not as horribly bad as it used to be so we should be happy. :(t5063.gif

Awww your very welcome it's my pleasure and thank you so very much for your prayers they mean more than you know to me.

OH yesssssssssssss I imagine that all the time how wonderful that felt. :Dsmileys-sofa-800198.gifjust doing normal every day things would be such a joy. Let's all pray it will be soon. Just hate all the waiting, extra waiting someo of us have to do. :( t5063.gif

Yup same thing every time but the girl definately has her good and bad days. I have talked to her a few times and she is usually ok. smileys-sofa-800198.gif They pretty much all seem lazy, some more than others.

OH my goodness, you didn't fill in your timeline so we have no idea what country the Embassy you interviewed is in or how long the process took. Could you please fill us in? Did you send evidence before or is this extra evidence they wanted?

Also don't blame you VJ can be very depressing.

I'm so very sorry this happened to you but know I'll be praying this get's fixed very soon. t4582.gif

Hi friends,

Sorry I have not been around as much lately. So busy with trying to sell the house. After 3 weeks on the market we have received and accepted an offer! We are not officially sold until 9th December, as the buyer is getting an independent building/pest inspection and has to get their finance cleared, but they are pre-approved so we should be good! We got offered more than we had anticipated ($2500 more than any 3 bedroom house in our area has sold for in the past 3 years!), which is wonderful because now we can use the extra money to ship our belongings and put towards flights. We have asked for a settlement date of 21st Jan (flights get cheaper, almost ½ price mid Jan). So fingers crossed, if everything works out, we should have our POE about 22nd Jan!

I can’t believe I might actually be home in 8 weeks! :wow: And only 33 days of work left. Ha ha

I am sending all of my positive vibes to MSC for an earlier interview date, EOC for visa issue and Soloenta and SharksBelow for CC. Best of wishes to everyone else going through this process, no matter what stage you are at, I hope everyone gets through quickly!!!

I don't post all that often, but can I just vent for a moment? I am so beyond frustrated with the NVC right now I'm on the verge of having a meltdown...

The senators office has been helping me with the expedite process and on November 12th they sent the NCV a request to expedite our case. I have been calling daily for almost two weeks just trying to find out if the NVC had received the expedite request because they do not send a confirmation, or so that is what I was told by a NVC representative. Every time I call the NVC I am told they cannot confirm it has been received as they have not had an opportunity to enter my case into their system yet, therefore have no place to log notes. Fair enough, but I feel better if I check anyway.

Well, today the senators office received an email from the NVC confirming that they received the request however they need additional information. Here's the thing, all of the information they are requesting was already provided in my cover letter and the cover letter was a part of a single 40+ page pdf document that was attached to the email. After confirming with the Senator's office, that they did indeed include the pdf in the email, frustrated and confused, I called the NVC to find out what happened, why it took 13 days for a response, and what I should do next. The representative I got was the most rude, inconsiderate person. I tried asking to speak with a supervisor regarding the matter, and not only was I yelled, but I was talked to like I was stupid. The representative told me that all of the supervisors were in a meeting and that if I had to talk to one I could try calling back. Then she told me had I sent the correct information in the first place, they would not have had requested the information from me and that speaking with a supervisor will not do any good because they will review the email and just confirm that the information was never provided, because I must have "forgotten to attach the document." And when told her I would still like to speak with a supervisor and asked if I could hold or be given a time to call a supervisor back, as I it is very difficult to get through when calling, the representative told me she didn't have time to argue with me and then she hung up on me.

I swear, I don't understand how some of these people got these jobs. If I ever talked to someone that way in my job, I would definitely be fired. I would make a complaint, but she mumbled her name when she answered so I did not catch it, not that making a complaint would do any good. I have made a few, as this is not the first time I have been hung up on, but never get a response.

Ugh! Some days I just feel like screaming and crying, crawling into bed, pulling the blankets over my head, and not getting out until this whole nightmare of a process is over. Unfortunately, I have a sick grandfather I have to care for, so instead I suck it up, put my big girl pants on, and carry on with my life best I can. <_<

Okay, done venting... Thank you for your patience.

Okay, done venting... Thank you for your patience.

First :D just in case you haven't posted here before graphics-welcome-010883.gif to the thread!!!!!!!!!

Second this is the place to Vent, scream, cry and anything else you might want to do so you never have to ask if you can. :D We are here for you when ever you need us and we know exactly how you feel.

I'm so very sorry this happened to you but if you complain do it here NVCINQUIRY@state.gov Attn : P I Dept. ( in the subject line) . You may not get a response but believe me it works. So many people complained about Joy-less that she finally started being nice. So please keep this information for next time if you don't already have it.

It's impossible (so they say) to find files knowing the Case Number, they say it's impossible due to the amount of files that come in daily.

I'll be praying you get your expedite very soon and that the rest of your journey is a smooth one. :D t5063.gif

I must say your timeline is very interesting, may I ask what your expedite is for? Egypt rarely if ever, actually I have never seen them give an expedite since I've been in this process so would like to see how plausible yours might be. graphics-thank-you-045286.gif

Thank you. It's nice to have others to talk to who can relate. I have used that email a few times to make complaints. I guess I won't feel so discouraged when I don't get a response.

Yes, it's kind of a complicated situation. My grandfather recently had a stroke. I have been his primary caregiver for the last few years. Medicare has a limit to the number of days they will cover certain types of services. He has exhausted his services leaving me to be completely responsible for all of his care as my family cannot afford to continue to pay out of pocket for nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists. I had just been promoted at work before this happened. Having to handle all this additional care along with managing the other aspects of my life has become overwhelming and has had a negative impact on my quality of work. If I can't get some help soon, I risk losing my job. My family and I are exhausted physically, emotionally, and soon to be financially. Alhamdulillah, my husband has a background suitable to help me provide appropriate care for my grandfather. We just need to get him here.

I have heard it is very difficult to get expedite approval in Egypt, but my husband and I both continue to pray. Insha'Allah, our prayers will be answered.

Thank you for the information and I'm so sorry all this happened but God bless you for what your doing for your dear Grandfather.

Just in case you don't know let me explain my case, I sent two expedite requests but was denied both times. I'm taking care of both my parents and it's only me no one else. I can't work, I'm a Respiratory Therapist and could be making minimum $69 an hour and up but can't because of my parents health condition which wont get any better one is a lung problem and arthritis in the vertebra. My husband is an Engineer and could have been of great help both financially and helping with things that cause me pain. I fell in the USA and hurt my hands then again in Egypt so my hands become numb when I take out things like the trash and we are on just shy of half an acre of land and have to do pretty much everything. With five Dr's letters they denied me, I don't want to scare you but prepare you just in case. I'll be praying for you and God willing you will get your expedite. t5063.gif

Oh my, I'm very sorry to hear of your situation. I see you have been going through this for a while, how do you maintain your sanity?

Yes, I was warned about Egypt. We keep telling ourselves we won't get the approval, that way we won't be as disappointed.
