Data point: Got CC today (20 Nov) and our last scan date was 22 Sep - an extra 60 days of waiting as they raised a checklist to see a payslip for a job even though we're qualifying on assets alone. Still, at least it's over - we've been hanging with the NVC crowd since April.

Congratulations guys. I was also at NVC since April and got a CC Oct 30th.

Pleasantly surprised by how quick it will all go from herein.

Keep us posted.

Hey EOC... Thanks for asking. It will be a month on Saturday since we arrived, but it feels a lot longer with all that transpired since. Purse is certainly a lot lighter. Kids are really enjoying their schools. My 11-year old who never touched a violin before we came can now play basic tunes and she just loves it. School was really kind to her giving her free private lessons to catch up with her peers.

We just got our GCs earlier this week but no SS cards. DMV is backed up so we won't take our driving tests till Dec 8.

All in all, we're having a blast so far.

Am glad the whole family is very well settled in.

I hope you hear back from them soon! Don't give up the faith! :)

Thanks a lot. I hope i get good news soon.

Good news! :star: I hope you hear better news next week! Fingers crossed!

I know it's extremely hard to wait since you're almost done! It gets harder and harder at the end of the immigration journey.

You can say that again Austin, it feels painful not getting done with the long process. I wish you a smooth POE. Waiting for your review.

Oh thank God they have it I for one will be praying they give you your Visa soon and I'm sure everyone here is saying a prayer also. Stay strong sweet heart your so very close. Love you girl!!!! t5063.gif

Thanks my dearest friend, you have always been a source of strength and hope for eveyone. I can't wait to celebrate your CC, visa approval and a smooth POE. Love you dearest sister.

Ok ok ok, what in the world is a contact sheet, and do we all need one????

I think this had to do with Lagos consulate, i have not seen any other country reporting this. Edited by EOC

Officially hit the 30-day mark today!! I'm hoping for a CC by no later than the 60-day limit (12/22) BUT praying for an earlier date (like the one The BigO gave me with his math prediction....that's insane how math can be used even for this!).....

Really hoping NVC speeds up b/c they were super duper slow this week starting on Wednesday. Who knows what happened....they were fast Monday & Tuesday and then it seemed kinda dead on here the rest of the week!

Congrats Samreen for being done with medical. My wife will have her medical on December 1st Insha Allah. Is there anything she should be aware of in advance? We got all of these following: interview letter, 6 passport size pictures, copy of passport biographic page, original valid passport, enough money to pay for all the fees.

She doesn't have any vaccination record so she will be having them for the first time. How was the overall medical experience?

It was really nice. I went to agha khan hospital. They took my height and weight first. Then bp pulse etc. then did eyesight checkup. And then the doctor did a physical exam. They had taken my cxray and blood test fr syphillus the day before and the doctor informed me all was clear. Then did the vaccinations :) the physical exam hardly took 2 min (doctor was in a hurry) ;) lol. I will collect the envelope Tomm :) ur wife lives is islamabad right?

What's ur interview date?

It was really nice. I went to agha khan hospital. They took my height and weight first. Then bp pulse etc. then did eyesight checkup. And then the doctor did a physical exam. They had taken my cxray and blood test fr syphillus the day before and the doctor informed me all was clear. Then did the vaccinations :) the physical exam hardly took 2 min (doctor was in a hurry) ;) lol. I will collect the envelope Tomm :) ur wife lives is islamabad right?

My wife's eyesight isn't the best, so I keep seeing everyone has eye exams done and it makes me nervous because she uses glasses and can't see clearly unless with them on. I know millions of people use glasses, so I shou be nervous, but what is it they're looking for in the eye exam? Can anyone elaborate?
