Nope, nothing so far! I sent at least 4 emails to the Montreal Consulate, but no reply so far!

I even called the consulate and talked to someone. She told me it could take up to a MONTH!

I asked her to transfer the call to her supervisor, but she refused and hung up.

My case is in the twilight zone again (even after getting approved at the interview)!

It's too bad because I thought I could end this long process with feeling great after experiencing a great interview!

I was naive to think that the Montreal Consulate was better than NVC!

Finally got through for my 'do you have my stuff yet?' call of the evening. I have seen at least one person who was approved AFTER OUR CASE SHIPPED at Nebraska who's already been scanned in at NVC.

I asked about that 'Why would people already get scanned in who were approved after we got notified we'd been shipped?'

'Oh, well, they get shipped out in batches, honey. It all depends on which batch you're in.'

'Yes, I know. But these are people who got shipped from Nebraska well after we were and who already have been scanned at NVC. Why is it that a batch that shipped later is scanned in first?'

'Well it could take up to thirty days to get scanned in.'

'Yes, I know. But why are batches being scanned out of order?'

'Well, it's hard to say, but don't worry, you'll get scanned in soon. It all irons out in the end and you'll all get shuffled through. This won't even matter to you when you're all finished.'

Lady, I get it, it's not going to matter at all in a couple years. I know that, but it DOES matter right now. This system is so messed up and all the little unfairnesses do hurt us all. It would be really helpful if the people at your loading bay or wherever they scan cases could do their jobs in a manner that made any sense.

Viber is an app that lets u call, text, & video for free as long as u both have viber. We have viber but internet isnt that great un egypt but it helps whenever wifi is available. ?

So right the internet is a problem but would have been nice when I'm not at home. Ty my dear for the information.

Today is day 60 from when I sent IV & AOS together but still no news. When i called NVC last week they said they were reviewing my docs and to wait 60 days from my last scan date of 10/7 (i sent police check separate). Should I call NVC today again or wait out a few days? ?

Last scan for me Oct/22 so we both have a little bit to go but it doesn't hurt to call. I'm praying NVC is moving fast, some say it is not sure if that's true or not.

I decided to call the emergency number listed on the Montreal Consulate web site this time.

They told me not to call the number since I'm not an American citizen!

And waiting for a passport is not an emergency issue (well, it is to me!).

Geez what a major B, but in a way happy the Egyptian Embassy isn't the only one with the worst of the worst. Bunch of losers with no empathy or compassion. I have a feeling tomorrow will be your day.

Thank you Solenta. I appreciate your well wishes. I'm still waiting for interview information.....I am praying you will soon be able to say the same. I honestly hope that while you are having to travel through this immigration journey that knowing you have support across the world will serve as glimmers of hope to light your way until you come to the end of the tunnel. Solenta, I sincerely admire the way you are able to be happy for others and help other's along the way just as the good samaritan had done in the midst of your own struggles. May God richly Bless you for all that you do.

Yes! I heard they changed the rules about originals. It's so unfair after they gave people such a hard time hopefully now they speed up super duper fast!

Called NVC, got on the line the very first attempt at calling. Waited twenty minutes on the line.

MY PHONE UPDATED AN APP AND SHUT ITSELF DOWN TO RESTART.

And now, of course, I can only get a bloody busy signal. There are other people who got approved at USCIS AFTER me who already have their case number. *frustrated*

Actually, the woman I talked to from the Montreal Consulate today was worse than most NVC agents I talked to!

It's NVC all over again!

I know I have no right to whinge but I want my CC already I'm so scared that my husband will have to leave Australia without me by his side :'(

He has to leave by 3 March and if we don't get a CC soon (or god forbid if we get a checklist) I might not get my visa and he will have to go without me

Start calling your close to your time to get your CC and you will get it and it will be this month and no checklist. As I have said the heart doesn't know time so you have all the right to be upset, whine, scream and just go crazy. We have gone through the fire so you go right ahead that's what we are here for. You and everyone in this thread are in my prayers.

I have no idea what happens after that (assuming CC and not checklist), I tried to look up what happens after your package leaves for the US Consulate in your country but the thing I was reading was telling me to start gathering originals of forms I have already given to NVC..

You should take copies of the originals just in case the doofus heads lost it along the way. It's just to avoid delays in getting your Visa if that were to happen. Just a safe guard.

I have a theory that everyone working for immigration are from insane Asylums, those with IQ's lower than 10 and those that can't work with others due to anger issues. .............

I know the feeling well my friend, the people at the Cairo Embassy are beyond rude and nasty even the Egyptian's working there, it's just shameful! I'm sorry you had to go through that but you can always complain once you are safe at home in the USA.

Hi everyone

Just checking in and saying hello.

SharksBelow, as a fellow Aussie I can tell you that in my experience here NVC have sent the file quickly to the Consulate. Ours is in transit at the moment. As soon as you get the CC NVC will send you the interview letter and it has all the details on that you need. First thing will be to get your medical. I live in Adelaide and am off to Melbourne tomorrow for mine. I SO hope you don't get any checklists.

Soloenta, the days are ticking by. Days turn into weeks and before you know it you will have that CC. I am sure that at the moment it seems like it is never going to come but it will and we are all waiting with you.

I called & no update. Nvc Told me to wait & count 60days after oct 7th? i think i dont wanna call anymore & just wait for a miracle email to appear in my inbox. Praying for u & everyone waiting for cc.

Side question....do u think whatever immigration reform obama will announce this week affect us....once again....& delay us more? I hope not. They should finish with us that been in this horrible process for such a long time. ?
