Any updates Austin? Want me to try to rummage through some desks after my interview tomorrow?

LOL! :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I've sent at least four emails to the Montreal Consulate. Nothing so far. :dead:

I just called them up and talked to someone. She told me it could take up to a MONTH! :bonk:

I asked to talk to her supervisor, but she refused and hung up! :dead:

I HATE and HATE and HATE babysitting everyone (USCIS, NVC, and Consulate)! :ranting:

In my case, I signed digitally (with a fingerprint) during my formal interview. This is different from the fingerprinting that preceeded the interview. And no, I was not given a copy, though I believe I could still download my DS-260 from ceac.

PS. For those who like to gauge post-POE timelines, our GCs (except for my youngest) were produced on Nov 14th and I should have them at my mailbox later today according to the USPS tracker. Requested SS cards never arrived. We'll probably drop by the SS office sometime this week. POE was Oct 22nd.

oh thank you.

i will let you how the American Embassy in Madrid works.

I really hope so! :star: Fingers crossed!

I decided to call the emergency number listed on the Montreal Consulate web site this time.

They told me not to call the number since I'm not an American citizen!:no::no:

And waiting for a passport is not an emergency issue (well, it is to me!).:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Well, I'll tell you, I think men are better about these things because they don't look at it as emotionally as we do. They are more logical and sure of themselves so I trust your husband hahahahaaa. We are just too emotional about everything a

nd I'm know I'm right so NO checklist for you guys hehehee and thank you for your kind words . t5063.gif

You are so right. We cannot both freak out over this. He's very pragmatic about it all, which is a good thing.

I know my journey has not been that long, our NOA1 was March 4th, so in the grand scheme of things it hasn't been that long. But it feels like forever.

You are such a sweetheart. Thank you for your kind words and I'm hoping for a speedy reunion for you as well.

Thank you precious your so kind. Funny my husband is the exact same way, what would I do without him! He has really kept me together along with everyone here so I'm very grateful and thankful for my husband and my VJ family.

As I have said time is relevant, the heart had no idea about time! Thank you so much and praying we all you, I and everyone in VJ and in this nightmare can be with our loved ones very soon. God bless you my dear. :)t5063.gif

So, my case passed October 3, got shipped out - never landed in the NVC. It is now November 17th. Still no case number.

They told me to scan the approval letter and mail it in to NVCresearch 2 weeks ago - did that, still no case number.

8 weeks gone by since approval notice, yippee!

OMG I'm so sorry have you talked to a Supervisor? I'm so sorry this happened to you, how horrible and very nerve racking. t5063.gif

By the way graphics-welcome-010883.gif to the thread and welcome to our nightmare! :o

Solenta do you have a smart phone? if so you can download whatsapp its free for a year. I use it every day to talk with my husband as we don't get to Skype very often do the power issues they have in Ghana.

My husband does but I don't, we are saving every cent right now since who knows when he will find a job. He's an Engineer but with the things the way they are who knows. I wish I could afford it then you have the cost of the internet on your cell so we have to go for Skype. :(graphics-welcome-010883.gif

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CONGRATULATIONS SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. Thank you so much for the information. Are you sure about the date on the checklist because it makes your review less than a month? My checklist scan date is Oct 22. Again Congratulations!!!!

Thank you Solenta. I appreciate your well wishes. I'm still waiting for interview information.....I am praying you will soon be able to say the same. I honestly hope that while you are having to travel through this immigration journey that knowing you have support across the world will serve as glimmers of hope to light your way until you come to the end of the tunnel. Solenta, I sincerely admire the way you are able to be happy for others and help other's along the way just as the good samaritan had done in the midst of your own struggles. May God richly Bless you for all that you do.

I believe Soloenta sent her checklist document on Oct 10th so her scan date is probably around Oct 15th. :star::star::star:

I'm still waiting for the visa! It's been 3 business days (6 calender days) since I got approved at the interview. :dead::dead::dead:

Some Canadians reported that they got their visa in 1-2 days. :wow::wow::wow:

I should have known that I haven't been that lucky in the immigration process.:oops::oops:

I thought the nightmare was over when I got approved at the interview. :bonk::bonk::bonk:

I really hope to get it this week since we're currently staying in Ramada Inn with our moving boxes!:rofl::rofl:

:wow: have you gotten it yet?

Called NVC, got on the line the very first attempt at calling. Waited twenty minutes on the line.

MY PHONE UPDATED AN APP AND SHUT ITSELF DOWN TO RESTART.

And now, of course, I can only get a bloody busy signal. There are other people who got approved at USCIS AFTER me who already have their case number. *frustrated*

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

I can speak for Canada.

If you have already sent the originals, you dont have to find them again. You can gather more evidence to show bona fide relationship, you will need to do a medical so make sure your immunization that they need are up to date. You will also get information in your interview letter as to what you need to get done, so it will be clear. It wont be bad.

NVC is the worst stage in this process, lots of ambiguity in this process.
