I am going through the same thing with my mom

:(

That was the reason for my expedite. I am grateful that I have this time with her. I don't mind being her caregiver. I love having her. Adjustments to my life don't matter, just having her does. And I think God for that every single day.

What frustrates me is they requested more information and no one told me. Five phone calls and not once did they tell me. They all just said it was granted. Congratulations.

Their incompetence infuriates me.

Yes I have heard about it many times. Not sure what your expedite is for but, AmeriDutch has health problems and her beloved mother is dying and they denied her. Let us never forget to count our blessings. Just wanted to say that because it can be much, much worse but I do understand your frustration. t5063.gif

Thank you. Yes and I have been happy that we were granted an expedite. And Everyday I'm saying it's okay bc we are one step closer, one step closer. I just cannot believe they did not tell me the embassy granted it but needed more information from me. That is the part that infuriates me

Hi there! Sorry to hear about your case... I have this kind of granted expedite...it sucks and I argue a lot (I have a medical condition and lost my health benefits in Brazil, and my hubby pays for it in the USA, so I need to keep the treatment there). anyways, I still need to pass through the whole process with NVC and only after a case complete the embassy will give a sort of priority with my interview. It's hard, but at least it's something. My advice is for you to collect all the papers and send your packages ASAP so the clock will start ticking.

I'm sorry again, but thing positively that at least your wait for an interview date won't be that bad.

:)

I'm so very sorry about your dear mother and I apologize if I seemed insensitive I didn't mean to at all. Not an excuse but I see so many people getting expedites for the most stupid reasons, like they want to be with their husband for Christmas and they get expedites. It makes no sense at all and their should be a better way so this whole system can work.

I'm sorry to ask but your in Ghana with your mother, taking care of her?

Your frustration with the incompetence of the US immigration is a very valid one and I do understand completely. I hope you everything goes quickly from now on and you get to go home very soon. You and your mother are in my prayers. t5063.gif

I hope someone comes by to answer your questions but if not mistaken you can have the vaccinations given to you at a clinic but the Medical you need the e-mail or letter with your appointment date etc on it. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think you'll be just fine very few people have reactions to the vaccines, mostly just feel a little tired for a couple of days. Good luck to you my dear, I pray all goes smoothly for you at your interview and your medical is an easy one. :)t5063.gif

Thank you for your comments. I know you did not mean to be insensitive you just were not well informed.

I should've specified what was going on. I am a US citizen I am living in the states. My mom has been ill for a long time however took a turn for the worse the summer. My mom suffers from COPD, cardiomyopathy, Reynauds disease, scleroderma, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis and stage III chronic kidney disease. You would not believe how many medicine she's on including a cancer drug for the scleroderma which is quite toxic.

She has trouble walking and barely weighs 90 pounds. (40 kilos). I requested the expedite to get my husband here based not only on that but the fact that to take care of my mom I needed to cut my hours at work obviously. I requested the expedite to have him here not only to help me care for her but so that he could work and relieve some of the financial burden. I also explained to them that he already has a job promised here.

The emotional and financial stress is draining. There is no question about that. And I have just been waiting and biting my time like everyone else. Not complaining thanking God for every day that we're one step closer. I say thank you Lord that they approved him to go to embassy once they review the papers. However, when I heard last night that the Embassy requested further info from me and no one told me, that is when I got angry. Five phone calls and nothing? Not to mention not once did they tell me conditional expedite. And what's worse, is that I have more documentation and I had put that in the original request that I can get documentation from each one of her doctors so I've been sitting on it here because everyone told me we were already granted so why send in more paperwork?

Grrrr

I am still frustrated with them this morning, though not angry. Bc it is what it is

And God is good.. All the time !!!

So this too shall pass

My interview is 17 days away , my file almost ready just waiting for papers from hubby to fedex ... Bought a huge suitcase (pink one ) and lots of bubble warp for fragile things ..... Russian consulate couldn't provide me with the olive certificate since I'm a permanent resident of Jordan and never stayed more than a month at a time so I asked the to provide me with a document that says that . So yep I'm excited and can't wait for the interview

Meanwhile improving my cooking skills :)))) lol

Just wanted to let you guys know just in case this would help. I noticed my AOS changed on the 13th called and the rep I spoke to said my case was completed on the 12th. My last scan date was Oct. 29 for a checklist. It looks like they are taking about 7 weeks to review checklists from what I have observed thus far. For everyone who is struggling and still going through a rough time my prayers go out to you. May God Bless you all with strength to overcome whatever you are going through.
