Found this for those traveling with Pets,

1. “The biggest thing is to choose a pet-friendly airline,” says Pet Relocation’s New Media Coordinator, Caitlin Moore. “United has an great pet program with trained professionals and procedures in place. It’s much more streamlined and safer than many other airlines.” For international travel, Moore says that Pet Relocation usually chooses KLM, British Airways, or Lufthansa to safely transport pets.

2. Talk to your vet about whether it's safe for your animal to fly. Age, weight, medical history, and even temperament all play a role in deciding if your pet is up for the traveling experience.

3. Take extra caution with snub-nosed breeds. Pugs, Bulldogs, Boxers, Mastiffs, Persian cats (only flat faced ones) , and other brachycephalic breeds are more susceptible to breathing problems and heat stroke in stressful situations such as air travel.

4. Plan early and plan well. Just as you wouldn’t choose a random doctor out of the phone book to perform a serious operation, you can’t rush into pet travel without planning carefully.

5. Consider crate training. “Some dogs are more nervous, so we emphasize crate training to help them get used to the crate,” says Moore.

While an airline completely losing an animal is rare, incidents do occur. The Department of Transportation (DOT) releases a monthly air travel consumer report that details animal incidents on different airlines ranging from injuries sustained during flight to death.

Former airline operations manager and aviation writer William McGee says it’s important for passengers to calculate the risks before choosing to travel with a pet. "It’s important to realize there’s a big difference between flying in the cabin [which is safer] and flying in a belly cargo compartment," says McGee. "Are the chances of something happening rather small? Yes. But it’s still a risk you should consider beforehand."

hello, this is my first time posting and i have a question about a checklist we received on our IV docs. the checklist stated that my birth certificate was not from the right government dep. (although it is). my husband called and the rep told him they want a certificate from a "sharaeih" court. this court DOES NOT issue birth certificates. when my husband told her so she said if we keep sending the same certificate they will keep rejecting it :ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting:

i went to that court and asked if they could validate my birth cert. with our marriage contract (on the checklist as well) but they said they don't notarize documents issued by other departments and the only thing i need is the official stamp from the ministry of exterior affairs which i got along with the official stamp of the department of justice (i got that just in case) my question: do i need to go to the US embassy and ask them to - i dont know add their stamps to the collection of stamps i got-?? has anyone done this? i called the embassy and whatever 3rd party call center they have told me they dont know!! I emailed the embassy and should get a reply in 2 days. my friend didnt send her IVs to the embassy before submitting them and she received her CC 10 days ago.. i just hate to get a 2nd checklist  any ideas?

That's very strange as I sent the brith certificate from the civil registry (Ahwal al madania) and got approved but I did get a checklist for my marriage certificate cause I only sent the one form the (Shareaa) court and didn't send the one that the civil registry provides .

BIG congrats!!!

Just called NVC. We have an interview date of 23rd December.

Now, I wonder how long it will take them to issue the Visa and get it to us. Mmmmmm. Am super excited. Once they get my file I might email and see if I can bring it forward although I am sure they won't. Still, worth a try.

Guess they are still scheduling.

dwheels, can you add me to the spreadsheet please?

So happy for you! Now it's time to prepare everything! Hopefully you'll get an interview sooner, but if don't at least your visa will be a Xmas gift :)))

I know what you mean...but my hubby is SO happy for this 4 days weekend (he's a teacher, so schools were off yesterday too) that I can't even complain about it..lol

The good thing is that NVC usually speeds up things after a holiday...prayers they come back tomorrow full of energy! :)
