Just called NVC. We have an interview date of 23rd December.

Now, I wonder how long it will take them to issue the Visa and get it to us. Mmmmmm. Am super excited. Once they get my file I might email and see if I can bring it forward although I am sure they won't. Still, worth a try.

Guess they are still scheduling.

I hope you don't mean out of this thread at least stay for a little bit. so many have gotten their CC and left I know it has to happen but it still feels horrible.

I can really imagine how bittersweet it is for you right now. Seeing everybody moving on and not you. We must all have a sobering moment and remember that we were all in your position a very short while ago. Let's not forget. We are here to support you.

Awwww thank you so much my sweet friend your so kind and thoughtful, I am in your doubt, it seems so far away and I know when your home you will be very busy with the kids and your husband. Believe me I would understand.

I'm actually thrilled to see all my friends/family move on and see the light at the end of the very long tunnel. What I feel is happiness and I don't know if you ever felt this but when I was in school during a test and everyone starts to walk out finished with the test and your still sitting there with a sinking feeling. You know what I mean? Odd but true, but at the same time so very happy for everyone. Love you girl!

I had an interview today - APPROVED!

Sorry, I'm suck at posting a message on VJ using my mobile phone since I don't have my laptop computer with me in Montreal. :-( Boy, this site is not mobile friendly at all! :-(

I hope someone saw my Facebook message and let my friends know about the good news! Fingers crossed!

So u were approved and already sent to embassy. That was your scan date? Bc I was just approved but am not sure if it's true that NVC will still wait 60 days to review my docs before sending to embassy.

My last scan date was Sept 11th, the timeline was

- Oct 27th checklist for my marriage certificate,

- Oct 28th Supervisor review request,

- Oct 31st expedite request.

- Nov 1st case complete (i guess they accepted the marriage certificate I originally sent, according to the special supervision done. Probably they didnt study my expedite request by then),

- Nov 3rd, new 60 days letter for the checklist that has been already solved (I called NVC and told me to ignore it)

- Nov 5th expedite approved and my file was forwarded the following days to the embassy.

- Nov 7th the embassy confirmed me by email as soon as they receive my file they would give me an appointment date.

- As of Nov 10th, visa immigrant status "in transit"

I guess they will be receiving my file this week and I will have news soon. I do really hope so.

Thanks. Yes children now know. I told them when I picked them up from school. I SO KNEW what their first question would be and they didn't disappoint me.

"When can we leave school". I told them they can leave on November 28th so they have a few weeks off before starting in the US. In Australia the school year starts in February so they have almost completed a full year. They need to get their heads in the right space before starting again. Needless to say they are happy.

Am off to bed soon - another emotional day.

God how I know that feeling, but at least it will be there soon, then you will get your Visa

First, To the thread

Your husband needs to call back and ask to speak to a Supervisor, this has happened before and they can fix this don't worry. It might take a week for them to get your files (Supervisor that is) and they will review it. Let your husband know that if they say they will call him back he has a 99.99% chance of not being called back. So he has to. I would call 5 days after he talks to the Supervisor then again at 7 etc. Just relax everything will be ok they are just trying to break us. We are here for you so please let us know what happens. If the rep says no to a supervisor have him hang up and call again but I don't think he will have any problem.

Just remembered, I sent the Embassy in Cairo a copy of every document and they approved them then I sent them to NVC with a copy of the letter from the Embassy. Do you have the copy of your Birth Certificate? If you do scan it and send it as an attachment to your Embassy, ask them to confirm this is the correct one they are requesting, you should get an answer in about two days, then your husband can tell the Supervisor the Embassy says that is the correct one (God willing) they can't do a thing at that point. They will most likely ask you to e-mail it to them. Not sure since they are so random in what they do.

I told her they are but i need to know if i can bring them to the embassy so they can be officially approved by the embassy with their stamps. she didnt know & told me to email them. when I did, the email reply stated I have to contact NVC about this matter because this is where my case now!! which brings me back to the main point that nvc wants a birth certificate from a court that only issues (marriage/divorce) certificates.. My husband is going to call in the morning and speak to a supervisor and hopefully it will be sorted out. thank you again

Your welcome my dear but it's not true at all. NVC makes sure the paper work is what the Embassy wants so they are doing the bidding of the Embassy not the other way around. I hope the Supervisor can help, I'm sure she can but if she can't please make an appointment with the Embassy take the document in and show them. Will pray all you need is the supervisor.
