Hi Samreen

How are you doing sweetie. Do you think we will hear something this week. I am very anxious. In some ways if we haven't heard by Friday that we have an interview date at least we will know for sure. Until then let's keep obsessively checking our emails!!!!!

I want to pray and hope that we get a date but I don't have much expectations :) but let's see. Nvc has been telling diff things whenever someone calls and the second round usually starts from around 10th of every month usually. So this week will give us the answer ;) all the best to both to is :luv:

IT'S HERE! :wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

I'm flying to Montreal (from Vancouver, Canada) today since my interview is tomorrow!

It's crazy to think that I'm flying coast to coast (5 hours and 30 minutes) for a 10-minute interview!

I'll have to use my cell phone to check Visa Journey and Facebook since I won't have my laptop with me!

I don't even know how to insert images using my cell phone! :dead: That's no fun!

Some people have asked me, "Are you ready for the interview?"

Well, I'm more than ready since I've waited for 13 months! :content:

Actually, who would not be ready after 13 months?

Anyway, I have this to say! :star: Fingers crossed for myself!

I'll say some jokes during the interview if the CO is friendly and chatty (like me)!:lol::lol:

Ooh, I am as excited as you are. Feels like a wedding day. Can't wait to see those magical words. Enjoy the whole experience. Are you both going over?

Sending you lots of love.

Xx

hello, this is my first time posting and i have a question about a checklist we received on our IV docs. the checklist stated that my birth certificate was not from the right government dep. (although it is). my husband called and the rep told him they want a certificate from a "sharaeih" court. this court DOES NOT issue birth certificates. when my husband told her so she said if we keep sending the same certificate they will keep rejecting it :ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting:

i went to that court and asked if they could validate my birth cert. with our marriage contract (on the checklist as well) but they said they don't notarize documents issued by other departments and the only thing i need is the official stamp from the ministry of exterior affairs which i got along with the official stamp of the department of justice (i got that just in case) my question: do i need to go to the US embassy and ask them to - i dont know add their stamps to the collection of stamps i got-?? has anyone done this? i called the embassy and whatever 3rd party call center they have told me they dont know!! I emailed the embassy and should get a reply in 2 days. my friend didnt send her IVs to the embassy before submitting them and she received her CC 10 days ago.. i just hate to get a 2nd checklist  any ideas?

I'm sorry you had to go through this, I honestly don't know :( I hope whatever you got is enough.

First, graphics-welcome-010883.gif To the thread :D

Your husband needs to call back and ask to speak to a Supervisor, this has happened before and they can fix this don't worry. It might take a week for them to get your files (Supervisor that is) and they will review it. Let your husband know that if they say they will call him back he has a 99.99% chance of not being called back. So he has to. I would call 5 days after he talks to the Supervisor then again at 7 etc. Just relax everything will be ok they are just trying to break us. We are here for you so please let us know what happens. If the rep says no to a supervisor have him hang up and call again but I don't think he will have any problem. t5063.gif

Just remembered, I sent the Embassy in Cairo a copy of every document and they approved them then I sent them to NVC with a copy of the letter from the Embassy. Do you have the copy of your Birth Certificate? If you do scan it and send it as an attachment to your Embassy, ask them to confirm this is the correct one they are requesting, you should get an answer in about two days, then your husband can tell the Supervisor the Embassy says that is the correct one (God willing) they can't do a thing at that point. They will most likely ask you to e-mail it to them. Not sure since they are so random in what they do. :D

Maybe I dont know my way around VJ well enough yet, but is there a timeline or some sort of database on the site that lets us know when people received a Case Complete based on their scan dates? I dont know all the lingo yet. I'm just doing everything touch and go really. I try not to think about the visa process that much anymore and just deal with it as it happens. Of course, I check the CEAC site every day in the morning just to see find any updates.

graphics-welcome-010883.gif To the thread :D

Yes you can find it at the link below found on the very first page of this thread. :D Also for learning the lingo ;) , it's below Saylin's link.

Hello my friend!!! I am well, how are you? Hope you are hanging in there. Can't be long now for you I hope!!!

Still in Australia, we are in the process of selling our house now, so fingers crossed someone buys it soon! We plan to stay until after Christmas and go once the house settles (probably end of Jan).

We will definitely be arriving before 15th March because that is when my husband has to enter for the visa! Seems weird that we waited so long and can't go right away. We just didn't want to sell the house until we had the visa in hand and end up homeless or have to rent. And we thought we might as well have one last Christmas here so the kids can finish the school year and we can have lots of going away parties. :dancing::dancing: :joy:

Always so wonderful to see your posts and you know to me it seems it worked out perfectly now the kids can finish school which I think is so important then start anew in the USA instead of mid stream. Then of course spend time with family and friends and the parties they entail hahahaaa. So I would say well done and I'm sure your home will sell soon, maybe even sooner than you would want. Hope it sells just at the perfect time. But it must feel wonderful that even if you have to wait your husband has his Visa and you no longer have to worry about that thank GOD! 127fs2361263.gif127fs2361263.gif127fs2361263.gif127fs2361263.gif

I'm hanging in there thank you so much my friend, but I fear the wait will be a long one since I just sent the translation of my parents marriage certificate on Oct 21 and scanned in on the 22 which was super fast so I'm grateful for that. I wish there was something more that we could do but waiting and praying is all that is left to us.

Love and miss you girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! t5063.gif

Just checking the threads and saw that there is a mystery concerning my situation with the expedite refusal. Yal are both right Samreen and Solenta.

My mother is suffering from several illnesses and heart is failing . She has to take a drug that is actually toxic to the human body to keep her heart functioning . Her heart stops in her sleep and now during the day...her defibrillator is working over time to keep her alive .Shes had several strokes and can not speak now or walk unaided .As of yesterday she is now bedridden and her oxygen level will not stay up .She has drug induced Parkinson syndrome now because of the toxic Amiodarone medication. Her mind is going and she can pass at any time.

I have my own health concerns...heart and mobility related due to a botched knee replacement that resulted in Pulmonary Embolisms. I ended up in the hospital by myself stateside last June and had to come back to the Netherlands straight from the hospital to be with my husband.Ten hour flights are high risk for me and still I have done it .I used to carry emergency blood thinner shots with me on flights but cant get them here in Holland .

Why can I not qualify for expedite after I sent in documents proving my request??? I see people get expedite for less...I am happy for them but becoming bitter and scared to death my mom will pass before I get there. I want to spend some time with her while she still knows who I am :crying:

My dad has grand mal epilepsy and is nearly blind..yeah this was all in my request to expedite...no one cares.

Its hopeless to keep trying for expedite because they dont seem to care...so much stress every freaking day just trying to get through it all.

Sorry for the huge vent...

Im so sorry to hear about this. It is completely unfair.

Expedites depend exclusively on the consulate/embassy. I got my case expedited cause the American Embassy in Madrid accepted it. I am pretty sure it has a lot to do with the letter we previously sent to the American Ambassador last September showing our concerns about the eternal processing times at NVC. Thanks to this (I forwarded the Ambassador's response to the NVC along with my request) I think we were successful more than the actual reason why my expedite was finally based on. Who knows. However, my expedite request was approved last week, my file was sent to the embassy by then and is still in transit. Maybe they sent it by kart pulled by two donkeys....Meanwhile I already contacted to the embassy here in Madrid and they replied to me that once they receive my file they will let me know and would give an appointment date for the interview. I will keep you posted.

My advice is you to try to send a letter to the American Ambassador and/or Consul General to the Netherlands.

Altito, I suggested for AmeriDutch to go personally and speak to the Ambassador since this is a true emergency. I'm hoping by doing this she will save time and if she goes with her husband they just might give her the interview right then and there. With a letter they just may take their time or just say it was lost, what do you think?

I'm thrilled you got your expedite and pray they get you your interview quickly. :)t5063.gif

Thank you Soloenta. Lets see what happens, today (Spanish bank holiday) and tomorrow (veterans day) the embassy is closed....

I also wish you to have good news very soon. The universe has to give you back all what you has previously given to many people here.....(and outside)
