Yes MoBar we both finally got a cc. But sadly looks like we both won't be getting dec interview. There isn't any second round of scheduling for dec as far as I heard. But I guess we still have hopes for next weeks! I m glad ur life is back on track!! But yup adjustment is gonna be a big problem for all us I think

Well, I hope there will be more December scheduling still... experience though tells me that the Season's Spirit will find NVC a hard nut to crack. Was really pleased to see your name on that interview spreadsheet yesterday.

Adjusting after POE is time consuming, physically draining, confusing at times, and expensive. Yet, I would rather go through it 10 times over than wait for a CC again. Folks... don't ever let that LPR status lapse on you. Get naturalized if you must, just for this reason.

Now that Republicans are in control, I'm beginning to hear of speculations that immigration reform easement might shift from illegal immigrants to family-based hardships... as it should.

Just checking the threads and saw that there is a mystery concerning my situation with the expedite refusal. Yal are both right Samreen and Solenta.

My mother is suffering from several illnesses and heart is failing . She has to take a drug that is actually toxic to the human body to keep her heart functioning . Her heart stops in her sleep and now during the day...her defibrillator is working over time to keep her alive .Shes had several strokes and can not speak now or walk unaided .As of yesterday she is now bedridden and her oxygen level will not stay up .She has drug induced Parkinson syndrome now because of the toxic Amiodarone medication. Her mind is going and she can pass at any time.

I have my own health concerns...heart and mobility related due to a botched knee replacement that resulted in Pulmonary Embolisms. I ended up in the hospital by myself stateside last June and had to come back to the Netherlands straight from the hospital to be with my husband.Ten hour flights are high risk for me and still I have done it .I used to carry emergency blood thinner shots with me on flights but cant get them here in Holland .

Why can I not qualify for expedite after I sent in documents proving my request??? I see people get expedite for less...I am happy for them but becoming bitter and scared to death my mom will pass before I get there. I want to spend some time with her while she still knows who I am :crying:

My dad has grand mal epilepsy and is nearly blind..yeah this was all in my request to expedite...no one cares.

Its hopeless to keep trying for expedite because they dont seem to care...so much stress every freaking day just trying to get through it all.

Sorry for the huge vent...

I'm coming late to this conversation, so this might've been covered already. It's the Consulate at the Netherlands that decided on your expedite request, not NVC. Since you're there now, you might want to work on them directly and see what you get. I could be wrong, but I think any USC has the right to request a consular appointment and raise whatever issue they want in person. During my interview, I witnessed several USC's discussing trivial matters with the embassy staff that could've been settled over the phone or via email.

My best wishes all around on both visa and health fronts.

The US Consulate in the Netherlands is the one that refused my expedite...

My heart is breaking for you. I have become increasingly frustrated with the expedite system in place at NVC. I have seen people granted expedites with no real reason, other than missing their spouse, which is of course a horrible thing to experience but when they deny others with real issues like yours, it is difficult to see any justification.

My MP contacted the US Embassy for me in London and they suggested I make a further expedite request. I am sure they will say no so I haven't done yet (as I can't take another set back at the moment), but it suggests to me that more than one expedite request can be made. Why not send in another expedite request with updated information and more evidence (if you can)?

I will be thinking of you. (F)

Yes, I've seen people getting expedited for much less than what you have described.

Some embassies/consulates are really strict when it comes to giving you an expedite. :dead:

It sounds like the US Embassy/Consulate in the Netherlands is a tough one.

My dear sweet friend if anyone deserves to vent it's you and that's what this thread is for!!!! I understand how you feel and believe me I know how hopeless it seems but it's worth a last try! This is an emergency and I don't understand why the US Embassy in the Netherlands doesn't give you the expedite. I'm sorry to ask but have you gone to the Embassy to talk to a real person you can see and they can see you? It's your right and I be they will give you a expedite right there and then. Just take your husband with you. Please one last try. Your in my prayers and will be going to Mass tomorrow and your first on my list. God bless and be with you and your loved ones. :(t5063.gif

Yes she has the right as a USC to make an appointment and I would suggest to make one if she can with the Ambassador directly if possible but now before the holidays. I think she will be home with her husband in two weeks time just make sure to tell them the appointment is an emergency. Come on girl one more push, for your mother come on! t0803.gif

DOES NOT MATTER, go in person with your husband if you can talk to the Ambassador it's not the same as an e-mail they can't just dismiss you! Come on girl, last try!

Hi alepenaflor

How are you doing my friend. Sounds like you are having a tough weekend. I know that I am on the other side of the world from you but know that I am here and happy to chat and try to make you feel better. I am not doing much better this end. Waiting for an interview date when the children thought they would be home for Christmas but it hasn't come yet. Hopefully this week.

Anyway, what is going on with you. I can't see your signature so where are you in the process at the moment. What are you waiting for right now.

Weekends I hate weekends! I just had an immigration process attack (crying, anxious you know pms+nvc= trouble) I just hat Icant talk to anyone about this. Somedays its just really hard for me to keep the positive, good attattitude, I know one day will be over, cant wait for that, hopefully it comes soon or ill end up in therapy, anger management hahaha

I can understand how draining this process can be. Even after case complete (for which I thank Allah in every prayer) we are still getting drained for an interview date. I think it's a never ending process and u r anxious till u actually hug ur spouse at the airport. But as u said it won't last forever and there has to be an end some day! Good luck :)

I m so sorry ameridutch! It's terrible what u r going thru and it makes looks our pains smaller. I agree with soloenta u should go and meet someone in embassy in person. And also u should give this expedite another try. I have seen people getting expedited on second or third try even. If someone deserves an expedite it's u! Will be watching u :luv:(L)
