Hi everyone,

I submitted the AOS and IV documents towards the end of October and I paid the fees in early October. I thought things were speeding up, but I see NVC is just getting through mid-September. It's been a long journey so far, but we're blessed that everything seems to be going along smoothly. I really hope he'll be here by next spring or summer. Good luck everyone.

I'm just curious about why you think it'll be by Summer before he's here? I'm honestly hoping or thinking my wife should be here by February since scan date is Oct. 23rd. Why are you shooting so far out? Even spring...?

Just finished with my interview at the Consulate. I answered all questions correctly, at the end of the interview she said she needs more time to review the case file and then she gave me a contact form and asked me to go and fill it and drop it off at a submission center or scan it to them. I asked her how long will it take them to complete the process, she said it depends on how soon i can quickly submit the form.

She collected all emails chat, Facebook chat, Skype chats and all call records from me.

**** All thru the interview, the CO didn't type anything, instead she was writing it down on a piece of paper. I wonder why? We were just chatting face to face thru the window.

Contract form!? :wow: Not sure what it is, but it doesn't sound like an unusual thing in Nigeria according to the Interview thread! :star:

I hope you get your visa in 1-2 weeks! Fingers crossed!

Hi everyone...we got a checklist for I 864 ON 11/03/2014 and our scan dates were AOS 09/03/2014 and IV 09/23/2014 .

Good luck everyone...may you all receive CC and interview scheduled .

As for me...I got CCWC "Case Complicated With Checklist" :ranting::rofl: and more time in the NVC  penalty box

Case Complicated with Checklist!? :wow: Sorry to hear that!:cry::cry::cry::cry:

Hubby just called Nvc. They said they have stopped scheduling for dec  they said we r scheduling for jan now

You mean NVC doesn't have a second round of interview scheduling!? :wow:

If you don't get your interview date by the 14th, it's most likely they don't have the second round of interview scheduling for Dec.

Its a contact form asking for contact details of a relative, a friend and a neighbor. Was asked to fill it out and scan to them. Will be sending it this night so they will see it first thing tomorrow morning. Hopefully i will get my visa soon.

It doesn't sound bad to me! :star: They'll probably make calls to your friends and family to verify your info and that's all.

It may take 1-2 weeks so you can just use this time to get ready for the move! Fingers crossed!

Hi! First time poster in this thread.

Just wanted to share my frustration, not with the NVC but with my bank of all people.

I've tried to pay the AOS fee twice before and it turns out that the slip I got from my bank had the WRONG ACCOUNT NUMBER ON IT! As if I don't have enough to worry about. I'm thrilled though b/c the AOS fee is showing as paid AND it's come out of my checking account. Hoping to get the AOS paperwork scanned and emailed tonight as I believe that's my next step (if the CEAC instructions can be believed).

It is funny. Everyone kept asking me if I was 'so happy' finally getting out of NVC. Not so much. Just relieved. I am just as impatient and fed up waiting this short time for my interview to be scheduled. And I have less right to impatience and frustration than you.

Hang on. Just a little longer. I am hoping they use their powers of observation and make room for you, pre-holidays.

Positive energy heading your way.....

Hi Kanuk

Oh dear. Looking at this mornings threads looks like they aren't doing a second round of December interviews. This means no Christmas and not there until January. I certainly believe all our VJ friends but can we believe NVC? I am still holding out a teenage bit of hope that we may get December.

What are your thoughts.

So how long did it take them to review the updated documents and when was that?

This was all in Sep and Oct and took 27 days for the document to be reviewed but it was piggy-backed on an already existing wait so it wasn't "extra" time if that makes sense. The updated AOS document was received by the NVC on the 23rd of Sep putting the 60 day review date at approximately 23 Nov. My 60 day IV package review date was the 13th of Oct (calendar days) or 11th of Nov (business days). Documents were reviewed (I assume) and case marked complete on 20 Oct. So at-least they combined the updated AOS document with the IV and reviewed it all at once rather than putting a 60 day timer on that updated document.

Now like most everyone else waiting and calling each day to see if we make the interview schedule.

Thank you for the explanation and boy you were very lucky. Congrats and hope you get your interview soon. :)

Just finished with my interview at the Consulate. I answered all questions correctly, at the end of the interview she said she needs more time to review the case file and then she gave me a contact form and asked me to go and fill it and drop it off at a submission center or scan it to them. Oh sweet heart I hope this woman was just having a bad day, I'm shocked she didn't give you the green light for your Visa. I wonder why she said it depended on the form she asked you to fill out unless it's only to confirm your address? They are just so full of it, how pathetic this system is. I'll be praying you get your Visa in the next couple of days. Love you girl, stay strong and I know how difficult that can be. t5063.gif

WHAT, WHAT! If you get CC with Checklist why do you have to wait at NVC? OMG what the h e l l is going on EOC now you this is just ridiculous and pathetic! I'm so very sorry this has happened. t5063.gif

I m so upset to hear this. I was really looking forward to good news from u today :protest: I just posted a reply on the interview. I really hope u get the visa ASAP!! They need to stop doing this to ppl who have already waited for so long :ranting:

I agree just so upsetting and this is why I couldn't be thrilled just because we get CC, it means nothing to me until you walk out of the airport after last step POE.
