Here’s How a Seasoned Political Observer Says Republicans Should Respond When They’re Called Racists

Yes I did - in your post, specifically.

So what? Let their prejudices speak for themselves.

My point was that the charge of racism is devalued by the presumption that it will occur, even when it has not actually occurred. In doing so, it was not their prejudice that was made clear, but your own.

So, let me get this straight:

It's okay for a person to say racist things, we should just let that happen. But to call it out, that's a problem?

“Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated.” – Coretta Scott King

"Oppressive language does more than represent violence; it is violence; does more than represent the limits of knowledge; it limits knowledge." -Toni Morrison

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.

Mister Marv keeps coming out swinging only to show he's all foam and no beer.

Hey Exexpat, glad to see you're back. Have you thought about your treason comments? You remember those right? About how if you're stupid enough to talk about America, you should be tried for treason?

All hat and no cattle.

That 2x4 to the face did a number on you. You might need some time to regain your mental facilities. Take your time, I'll wait.

Question: How do you tell whether a lame prog-K9 can add? AKA: a dog who is limping on three legs that has been indoctrinated by his owner to believe in mystical liberal ideology and fuzzy math.

Answer: He puts down three and carries one.

I must have hit you harder than I thought. Rambling and incoherence are signs of disorientation. Take it easy before you hurt yourself.

If that's what you understood from what I wrote, then you have a serious comprehension problem.

When it happens, it should be called out. Presuming it will happen when it has not, which you did, is akin to crying wolf. Accusing someone of it, without it occurring, which you also did, despite your protestations of innocence, is flat out wrong.

Clear enough?

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

Crystal. Now let me be clear:

When a member has consistently made bigoted and inflammatory comments on such a daily basis that it's to be expected, what is the appropriate response? Do we give them the benefit of the doubt and wipe the slate clean every time? Is that person exempt from any presumption even though they've shown they're bigoted towards certain individuals in 99% of their posts?

I've watched this member disrespect my religion, my ethnicity, and others. So I'm more apt to see it, even when you don't.

Because Marvin considers himself to be gifted in the liberal art of discovering people he thinks will ring a bell on his gameshow, it wouldn't be nice for anyone to tell him that he's just wrong.

Or would it?

:diablo:

You bet it would.
