Im so angry being pregnant waiting for this day and getting hit. Jesus help me! My fear is by the time we get interview date I maybe almost 7 months and cant travel so case would be held back? Omg :'(

Nooo don't stress!!! By my understanding and you may want to check with your attorney and embassy in CR1 status wife/hubby the petitioner doesn't have to actually be at the interview. Unless the letter that NVC send you request your present at the interview. Confirm that before you stress out.

Just called NVC and found out I have a checklist. They need proof of my employment. My income doesn't show enough to be a sponsor so I used my brother as a joint sponsor which most of the income is from his side. Since my income isn't enough to be a sponsor alone, does it make any sense that they are requesting proof of employment from me? Are my tax transcripts not enough?

A good lawyer would do their research and ensure that they understand every form completely before taking people's money. We didn't use a lawyer and we've gotten through the process with one checklist but I feel better in myself knowing that a professional didn't cause that. Now we have a case complete and waiting on an interview date. Just hang in there. It'll probably be the longest 60 days ever but it'll be over soon.

I agree! A good lawyer would know and double check everything unfortunately I seen so many cases here at VJ get hit with the same question in AOS :( it has been the longest 60 days ever tomorrow will marked my 50th day of waiting for a cc on this checklist I hope to god she corrected everything the right way cause another checklist on the same thing will kill me.. Fingers crossed on that paid changing to n/a this weekend or early next week before the holiday

Your tax transcripts don't prove CURRENT income, only an employment letter and pay stubs do. Tax transcripts are for PAST income.

I'm self employed subcontracted by a company. I don't get paychecks, All my payments received are through square which is a credit card program used on my iphone. The company I'm subcontracted by doesn't have letterhead paper that they can write a employment letter on, it would just be on a plain paper typed up. What should I do? And why would they need proof of my employment if my income alone isn't enough to be a sponsor?

Thanks.

She didnt say we can send a letter from doctor stating the reason I wont be at interview cuz advance pregnancy. I was soo upset I didnt even want to hear her. Plus, once she corrects and check/confirm it here Im pulling her off case. So if so I'll ask you guys for advise on letter.

Oh, didn't know you were self-employed. Any chance you can take screenshots of the last few payments, paste them in a Word document and print them out?

As for the employment letter, if they don't have any official letterhead, then regular paper will do. Make sure they mention the company name, your name, how long you've worked there, how much you get paid and how often.

And the fact that part of your income is being used to qualify is the likely reason why they're requesting proof of current income.

When you calm down try to talk to her about you having to be at the interview and also try to look up similar cases here on VJ for your embassy most likely you won't be require at the interview.. I can't imagine how hard it must be with you being pregnant an all but try to stay positive and think on when your hubby finally be here and all the good things coming.. Is normal to be angry today trust me I cry for two days and I'm not even pregnant ;) I will pray for you and that everything speeds up
