Hi, I have a question, please help me , my spouse is medical/ healthcare professional, physically injured, our AOS/IV scan date is Oct.16,2014,what is the best time to file expedite request, so that package will not come back

to us but will reach to the US embassy , because some one told us if we will request ' expedite the case ' before the ' case complete ' the NVC can send the package back to us to present to the interviewing officer at the time of interview and chances r that we will miss the important documents in the mail. Thank u very much for ur help in this regard.

I believe that is correct. If you request an expedite earlier it should help move things quicker if it's granted and will be sent directly to the Embassy.

We put ATTN CMR on the outside envelope - on the inside envelope with the AOS we put ATTN CMR AOS as stated. It's going to the same address and if you are sending the complete package together then you are good!

We r extremely grateful for ur kind time to share with ur experience in regards of ' expedite the case'. So we will wait for ' case complete ' note then same day we will initiate the expedite request. If any important piece of advice is needed please share. Thanks

Regardless of the petitioner's situation, they will ALWAYS have to file an I-864. She'll also need to include a letter as to why she didn't file taxes in the past. And yes, proof of domicile will be needed.

As for the joint sponsor, besides the three items mentioned above, it'd also be a good idea to include an employment letter as well as pay stubs, for proof of current income.

Then the bar-coded cover sheet will need to be placed on top of everything.

I highly suggest you read the first post, and read the wiki, as you're missing valuable information.

Thank you Saylin I did read the wiki many times and it's very helpful but i have some questions and I'll be thankful if someone answer it for me :

1. Since my wife (US citizen) never been in US and never worked before anywhere or have income !! how should we answer part 6 from form I-864 ? (note we planning to have a friend as joint sponsor).

2. Based on her setuation how can she provide a proof of US domicile with the AOS package? ( note that she have a Social Security Number issued by her father when he was in US ).

Hi, both ways r ok, u can send separate or as one package, as attn: CMR & inside, include another packet as ATTN CMR AOS, it did not matter as we sent the packages separately and they accepted them. GOOD LUCK.

Per a call to the NVC we received a CC on November 14. The CEAC shows the AOS fee is N/A as well (which triggered my call).

How long after CC should we expect to receive an email or other notification? Will the next communication include our Interview Date?

Has it been 60 days since last scan date? If not, there is nothing wrong, NVC just has a lot to do due to the huge backlog which is why they have the 60 days time to review the documents. I hope gets complete before Thanksgiving at the latest so you guys can have a peaceful holidays!

Amen!
