Hey Guys,

I called the NVC to ask about my case and the rep told me that our expedite was granted! We're just waiting till NVC reviews the paperwork before sending it to Sydney. I hope they review it this week or next week. We just want to schedule the interview soon so we can get ready for our move.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

I know that will be wonderful news, My hubby is going crazy with all this wait :( they don't understand the process and how awful of a wait this is. But in the other hand I just saw some one with a checklist from the 24th so you should hear something soon.. ps.. I had checked the ceac site like 10 times today lol

Omg I saw that checklist on a scan date 9/24. O my Lord I pray no checklist and that our attorney nail it to avoid it. I'm soo nerves I check ceac like 20 times by the end of the day. O Jesus help us all.

This year I made 15,100 my sister who lives with me will file i864a she only made 8,000 were sponsoring my husband and the poverty guideline for a household of 3 is 24,737 I have 11,000 in my savings as of this month, i have been saving up since I started filing and now we're at NVC and I was wondering if I will NOT be able to use my savings to make up the difference because it hasn't been in there for a solid year..

Or it doesn't matter how long I've had the money in my savings as long as it's there and I have bank statements to prove it..? Asking because I read somewhere that NVC will not use it if it's not there for a year..

I don't see anything in the I-864 instructions about a minimum amount of time for savings, so you should be okay.

My two cents by the way: you're cutting it REAL close to the poverty line. Even with your savings, you'd only be at 26,767, which is just $2000 over the limit. You may be asked to find a different sponsor, either at NVC or at the consulate/embassy (who has final say).
