Hi I had been following you since May tread because we have almost the same days you got approved on Oct. 27 and I got approved the 28. I saw that you posted yesterday that NVC received your case I will definitely call today to see if they received mine, hopefully NVC won’t take long to assign a case number I have seen people waiting almost like another month.

Good luck and thank you for your encouraging words.. :dancing::dancing: :joy:

Hello gtrimino,

I was approved on Sept 20th and NVC assigned case number just 3 days back. Same is the case with few others I know of. I dont want to dishearten you, but they will take another atleast 25 days to assign the case number. They have become a bit slow from last one month- Ppl are getting case number in nearly 2 months after approval. I myself was too sad :( :(

We recently got some great news: that my husband has been successful in a job application for a government job that starts next September in Vermont. We haven't got this in writing yet (no contract no paperwork) but when we do, should I notify NVC or take the contract with me to my interview, or nothing?

Being that the new job won't start until September, it's not going to affect the AOS paperwork (unless you're still stuck in this process till then, which let's hope not!!) So, you don't need to do anything

Grats to him on the new future job :dancing:

Hi all,
Recently we got our approval from USCIS I-130, my wife is the petitioner (US citizen).
I am working in Saudi Arabia and my lovely wife lives with me, but she doesn't work or ever been in united state, we planning to have friend of us as joint sponsor.
By your opinion what document we should prepare before sending AOS package ?
do my wife need to deliver proof of domicile ? or just send the following :
1- form I-864 (joint sponsor).
2- IRS Tax Transcript.
3- Proof that (joint sponsor) are a U.S. citizen.
if you think there is missing document we should prepare please mention it for us.
thank you

Regardless of the petitioner's situation, they will ALWAYS have to file an I-864. She'll also need to include a letter as to why she didn't file taxes in the past. And yes, proof of domicile will be needed.

As for the joint sponsor, besides the three items mentioned above, it'd also be a good idea to include an employment letter as well as pay stubs, for proof of current income.

Then the bar-coded cover sheet will need to be placed on top of everything.

I highly suggest you read the first post, and read the wiki, as you're missing valuable information.
