Yes you understood it correct... Both the petitioner and joint sponsor 'SHOULD CHECK YES' for part 3. The petitioner checks YES because he/she is the primary sponsor and the joint sponsor checks YES because technically he'll be sponsoring your wife. Also please don't forget to write '1' under PART 3, ITEM 7 of both the petitioner and joint sponsor's 864 forms. Hope this helps.....

Thank you :D we are on part 5 and this got me confused a little bit but lemme break it down..and please verify if I have understood it correctly. First question, why can't I fill out the Part 5 no. 2 Yourself it has box but can't put anything.... So i don't know what to do with it. Second, if my wife is the beneficiary and I can't count it twice... so both 1 and 3 are counted as 1... plus myself as the petitioner that's 2 right? Sooo for example our joint sponsor fill out part 5. The sponsor-1, his wife-1 and the beneficiary my wife-1 soo that's a total of 3. right?Thank you

I was invoiced for my IV bill yesterday, still can't pay online. Is this normal to have a delay with the online payment portal?

Yes it sure is! If you look at my timeline you can see how long I waited for each :)

Wasn't too bad

Yeah I had notice that too, people getting cc and checklist from scan dates on the 19th, 22th and 23rd but then again lots of people without anything yet between Sept 15th and 19th.. Makes no sense

Thank you :D we are on part 5 and this got me confused a little bit but lemme break it down..and please verify if I have understood it correctly. No buddy you got it wrong in Part 5. I'll summarize how you need to fill the questions under PART 5 so that you understand better.

Part 5 for petitioner

Item 1 - Enter 1

Item 2 - If you don't automatically see a 1 there by default, then you have the option of typing 1 or either manually entering 1 there with a pen.

Item 3 - 0 (You SHOULD NOT enter 1 here)

Items 4 to 7 - 0

Item 8 - 2

Part 5 for joint sponsor will differ based on the number of dependents. If you can let me know his family details then I can help you with the break up for the joint sponsors form

someone in the rant thread had a CC with AOS checklist dated september 29. No real consensus on which scan date they are working on! haha

USCIS

January 8th 2014 - NOA1

July 10th 2014 - NOA2

NVC

July 17th 2014 - Case shipped to NVC

July 30th 2014 - Case received by NVC

August 13th 2014 - Case number and IIN received by email

August 13th 2014 - DS-261 Form Completed

August 14th 2014 - AOS Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 17th 2014 - IV Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 19th 2014 - DS260 Completed

October 6th 2014 - AOS and IV Packages Received

November 28th 2014 - AOS and IV Checklist (4 items in total. 3 for documents they lost. Called on December 9 and a rep said no checklist for IV....go figure)

December 8th 2014 - Checklist scan date.

December 30th 2014 - Case Compl........NOT. So after not having an interview date yet, I called again on Jan 30th and apparently its in final review with a supervisor.
