Thank You RobbieG,

Let's hope. It will be cc tomorrow since Sat/Sun there close.

Thanks again.

I am in the same boat. I am guessing early next week for our CC since it is the weekend and they had that public holiday this week.

We are not too far off!

And I hope they send our originals to the consulate!

Those with Sept 24 scan date should hear something next week, as of today I seen two cc with scan date of 9/19 so they should start with the 22nd of Sept next week.. :) I think most of everyone is hearing back between 50 and 55 days...

For those who have a prediction from me:

Looking at the numbers, it seems you should expect a CC closer to the upper limit of the prediction. Please also take into consideration public holidays and weekends when the NVC is not working.

Okay, off to get some breakfast and then off to work! Friday!!! Woo Hoo!!! :dancing:

Hey folks, some lovely news this morning!! :dancing::dancing:

As of yesterday, November 12th, NVC will no longer collect ORIGINAL CIVIL DOCUMENTS for the IV package. That is correct, you read that right. From now on, photocopies of the civil documents (birth, marriage, police, military, etc) will be accepted. Originals of those documents will be brought to the interview instead!

Information found here (2nd link): http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/visa-policy-update.html

Direct link to update: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/policy_updates/National%20_Visa_Center_No_Longer_Collecting_Original_Civil_Documents_November_2014.pdf

I encourage you all to read the update. For those that haven't sent your packages yet, time to make photocopies of the civil documents and put the originals in a safe place in time for the interview!!

Please note, this does NOT mean you can send photocopies of the AOS form. The form still has to be an original, with the original signature. As should the employment letter, with an original signature. The optional cover letters should be original as well. Besides that, everything else can be photocopies now.

I'm going to guess that this new change will reduce the amount of checklists stating a document isn't an original (when in most cases it is). Not to mention, the scrutiny of civil documents will be less (I'm guessing), thus speeding up the review process. So, good news everywhere :)

Wow! Good news for people submitting from now on, not so good for me. Lol!

I am in the same boat. I am guessing early next week for our CC since it is the weekend and they had that public holiday this week.

Omg, me too... my birth certificate is 30 years old and I'm rather proud that I've kept a hold of it all this time! Hehe.

Hello everyone. So excited today. I've been pretty bummed about a checklist I received for the IV package. I wrote my congressman 3 weeks ago. I sent in the document the checklist asked for. Also 2 weeks ago I sent in a request for expedite. I didn't think I had a chance at the expedited case. Today I received mail that they accepted the request for expedite an the file is being sent to the embassy. It was dated Nov. 5th but just got it today.

I'm so excited. I still think I should call tomorrow to verify.
