Though I am following this thread for quite some time, I decided to sign-up today.

I see from above posts that NVC has changed policy so that we don't have to send original civil documents anymore.

My AOS scan was Aug 8 and IV Scan was Sep 23. We got IV checklist on Oct 20 asking for originals for couple of documents and I mailed them back with check list scan date of Oct 29.

Can I call NVC now because my checklist is not required as per the current policy? or should I still wait 60 days from IV check list date (Oct 29)?

Please advice.

Big O,

My scan date Sept 24 for both AOS and civil documents. Can you please do the math and give me an estimated date for cc. I'm kind of concern on my 49 day and no word.

Thank You in advance.

Those with Sept 24 scan date should hear something next week, as of today I seen two cc with scan date of 9/19 so they should start with the 22nd of Sept next week.. :) I think most of everyone is hearing back between 50 and 55 days...

I just spoke to Rep at NVC and she says that they are not aware of the new policy yet and she still believes they need originals. And Supervisor was not available.

You get checklist by email.. I think they no longer mail out anything... You can request for a supervisor review..

We had our interview today and were approved! It was only five minutes long with very simple questions.

One piece of information that might be valuable (or at least was until yesterday). We had our expedite request approved AFTER went sent our original documents. We were worried that the NVC would not send them because, as we know, they are incompetent. However, they were there. So, sometimes the NVC does sent all of the documents they have when cases are expedited (as opposed to some of the horror stories that I've read on here).

But, from what I'm reading with the policy change that the NVC will not longer collect original documents, this story may not prove too useful for those in the future.

I just called NVC again to spoke to different Rep this time. He considered my request and said that he will get it reviewed with the supervisor.

Any idea how long it will take for the supervisor review?

My AOS was already accepted and they have all IV document copies as of their last review on Oct 20 (and sent originals recently for checklist).
