Oct 16th.

Was your AOS scanned before? or did you submit both documents together?

USCIS

January 8th 2014 - NOA1

July 10th 2014 - NOA2

NVC

July 17th 2014 - Case shipped to NVC

July 30th 2014 - Case received by NVC

August 13th 2014 - Case number and IIN received by email

August 13th 2014 - DS-261 Form Completed

August 14th 2014 - AOS Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 17th 2014 - IV Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 19th 2014 - DS260 Completed

October 6th 2014 - AOS and IV Packages Received

November 28th 2014 - AOS and IV Checklist (4 items in total. 3 for documents they lost. Called on December 9 and a rep said no checklist for IV....go figure)

December 8th 2014 - Checklist scan date.

December 30th 2014 - Case Compl........NOT. So after not having an interview date yet, I called again on Jan 30th and apparently its in final review with a supervisor.

February 6th 2015 - Case Complete: Supervisor called from NVC to confirm everything has been completed now.

March 27 2015 - Interview Date

March 27 2015 - Approved!

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

It states on NVC's website exactly where documents should come from. Here's a link to Canada's reciprocity page: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/CA.html#docs

Thanks, Saylin. Yes, they only care about the issuer, not the records themselves.

For any other military Canadians out there, your records must be issued by, "Director, Access to Information and Privacy (DAIP), National Defence Headquarters, Ottawa". And plan ahead -- that agency is experiencing backlogs of 3+ months in response time.

My scan date is also Oct 14.. i was hoping it wouldnt be so long :'( really want to see my husband and especially for holidays :(

Is that your last scan date? Because mine was almost 60 days from my first scan date. Still waiting on interview date.

Yes i sent both packets together. And my scan date oct 14 .. i was hoping like everyone else that nvc wouldnt take so long :( frustrating ... :clock:

Got welcome email from NVC today. Numbers were assigned yesterday (thanks to Saylin's wiki for showing how to figure that out). Submitted DS-261 this morning (It's the 7th here in Aus). Then tried to check to see if can pay AOS fee...got the "process of termination" notice, freaked out, read Saylin's wiki again, learned I should indeed not be freaking out haha. So thanks Saylin for all your info!!

11/6/2014 - Welcome email from NVC and DS-261 submitted

:lol: You're very welcome! Make sure to read NVC's website though as the process has changed slightly. I hope to update the wiki one of these days :bonk:
