Annnnd...Blamo! The NVC efficiency at it's best. Just trolling around my CEAC page and found their new change listed at the review page:

" Once received, it will take the NVC 60 days to review your case. If any additional information is required after the review, the NVC will notify the applicant (or the applicant’s agent). "

...I wonder if all of our "extra" money that went into raising the fees has caused the newest update to the website. I would have rather them used the money to actually get the time line down to the 2-4 weeks that originally it stated in the first place

Just received a dreaded NVC checklist :(

It's for my husband's military records -- he was in the Canadian Forces, and we sent his MPRR upon the advice of another VJ member. But that is apparently not what NVC wants. On hold with them now, but are there any military Canadians out there who know what document NVC is looking for?

I was expecting a CC any day now -- our last scan date was September 15th. Now we're back in the waiting game... So discouraging...

We received an email today that said

"All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified. "

Does that mean our paperwork is approved an we are just waiting for the interview date? Or that they received our documents and still need to approve them?

Should I be excited?

So I'm looking for some help, NVC have received my case today. They have said it can take up to 42 days for them to assign a case number. Does anyone have any information on how long this would normally take them?

Regards

It states on NVC's website exactly where documents should come from. Here's a link to Canada's reciprocity page: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/CA.html#docs
