We've been at NVC since April 29. It has been 58 calendar days since the last scan date for IV and checklist on Sept. 8. It would be a nice surprise to get case closed in a couple days. I am choosing to live in a state of denial about the possibility of another checklist in order to maintain my sanity.

However, our second embassy change was approved on September 26, giving us a new case number (our third, ugh) and I fear this will reset the date. That's most likely what happened with our crazy IV payment mess (65 days...), although I never did get a clear explanation for all of that BS other than queen hyena Fiona saying the embassy change reset the DS-261. The supervisor wouldn't confirm anything. I suppose all I can do is wait until day 60 and then start calling and demanding a supervisor review. They ALWAYS say on the phone that changing embassy will not cause any delays, but I know from experience that this is a complete lie. But at this point, there aren't any forms that could be reset, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Good luck, everyone!

The latest CC was for Sept. 11th so maybe call today. You might already have a CC :)

Just checked the portal and no change, but you're right, I should call. The thought of calling NVC yet again without seeing a N/A makes me want to crawl under the bed and hide, but better to start badgering them now I suppose!

hello guys

i found out that my wife didnt include the tax return and she filled the affidavit of support using W2 , as for now i am expecting checklist and to b prepared i need to clarify my confusion:
our joint sponsor is filling his taxes as joint with her spouse
the joint sponsor requested the tax return from IRS website online and and forwarded it to my email
now i am looking to tax return and i see a lot of numbers lol
-which one we should use because i think it's where indicate total income ? someone correct me if i am mistaken ?
since the joint sponsor is filling as joint i believe W2 form is enough and no need for I864A of the spouse , correct me if i am mistaken?

for the currant income what we should put ?
thanks in advance

I got my cc on Friday and that same morning I had called and they told my 60 days from last scan which was 10.6.14 and when I went in to look around 3 it had changed from paid to N/A. and someone wrote before me that some cc have been approved for 9.11.14. So you are really close to getting cc.

Dear god, I opened the payment portal instead of CEAC. Wrong page! Forgive me folks, it's pushing 100 degrees where I am (no AC), it's extremely humid and I'm recovering from a stomach virus so I'm not of sharp mind. I just called NVC and it turns out that we have...

CASE COMPLETE AS OF OCTOBER 30!!!!!!!! :dancing::dancing::dancing::dance::dance::dance: I have no idea who I talked to, but she was not nice. Who cares, it was good news.

I hadn't checked in a while because we were on our honeymoon and I wanted to disconnect and forget everything. We actually flew back to Colombia on the 30th (we are currently unemployed and crashing with the in-laws), and then I got sick, and we were still within the 60 days, so I just didn't look. I guess they are speeding up. I just sobbed on my husband for five minutes and whatsapped my parents, and now I'm here telling all of you.

I never in a million years could have survived NVC without Saylin's guidance and the help from this forum. So a huge and very special thank you to her and to all of you. I can't believe that after six months at NVC, we are on to the next step! Doesn't feel real. Best of luck to everyone still waiting for CC. You will get there and it will be amazing!!
