Start of 2nd Month in NVC. We submitted the AOS/IV as one package (but with individual cover notes, as we paid prior to the change to the single coversheet)

Got the "60 days blah blah blah" letter at start of Oct and was wondering if anyone had a thought as to the processing of these documents as a single package?

With both AOS/IV being submitted at the same time and the expectation they are scanned at the same time, would they be reviewed "in parallel"?

Does this then give an expectation of the documents being reviewed between 30 - 60 days, rather than the minimum 60 days before any NVC response?

The above is just my over active thought process - I have learnt with NVC....."it is what it is and logic is an abstract concept with any submission"

Hoping for CC by end of month and an early Christmas present... :-)

good luck all !!!

Hello everyone..I had a quick question..my scan date for AOS and IV package is sept 24th.. Now I just realized I made a mistake or maybe it's not a mistake.. On my AOS package, for part 5- household size i wrote down 9.. I am dependant upon my parents and we have a total of 9 people in the house..part 5 number 5 asks if I have any other dependants, and I wrote down 6.. I have no income and I don't file taxes..Was that question for me or my father?? My father files taxes so I used him as a joint sponsor.. Will I get a checklist for writing 9 down? Or should I have written 2 counting just me and my husband.. M really worried!! I don't wanna get a checklist!!

Hi, form I-864 part 5 asking 1 who u r sponsoring , and 1 who is, YOU , total 2. This form is for u only, u did not earn any thing because u did not work,so all numbers are 0 for your all past 3 years earnings. Then with this form u were supposed to attach co- sponsor( which is your father) paper work. Good luck with lots of prayers

Received a checklist last night...my question is...do I include the checklist itself in the new 1 864 package to NVC or just the case number barcode cover sheet and the letter ?

It was a dumb missed box ...how we missed I dont know...but we did on both I 864 for Petitioner Sponsor and Joint Sponsor...bangs head on wall.

I called NVC to make sure there were actually 2 checklist because they both had my joint sponsors name on them and not mine the Petitioner. The guys response was ..oh yeah...sorry we are trying to fix that .

So...back in the line for another 60 flippin days .

I'm sorry to hear you got a checklist. NVC sucks. Their checklist instructions never make any sense.

When I sent in our checklist response, I put the checklist cover sheet (with barcode) on top, followed by the checklist detail pages, and then the requested document. I separated it all out with paperclips and used label stickies to clearly identify each item.

So sorry :( Please tell us which box you forgot.

It wasn't me so I have no idea if this is what happened, but on the I-864EZ at least there is a box that unchecks itself when you check another one <_< I think it's the question about being a US citizen that gets unchecked when you check the one about the tax information you're providing. We had to write the X with a pen. You should always read every form after you print it no matter what but just a warning that even the forms are broken. -_-

I had that same problem...drove me nuts. I emailed it to my husband to print and scan, and he managed to get the x to stay somehow (reopening the file from attachment? - I don't know..). You would think they would make sure the forms would work properly when filling out online...too much to ask I guess. <_<

Hello everyone, first let me say that this forum is a great resource for folks who are going through very intense NVC process, not to mention uniting families. I just wanted to share my opinion from what I noticed on this forum lately, I see forum gets populated with tons of pages, mostly with "checking in my X month(s) at NVC" or "what is the latest scan date" or etc., while this might be ok to update but at the same time there are multiple questions unanswered because they buried into above mentioned posts.

I understand that every question cannot be answered on this forum but I think it should get at least a chance so that other people who went through same process might be able to help in some ways.
