I know how it feels. Our case also in the same progress like you. TSC has received our case on 17th Nov and since then there is no news at all. Been 6 months and we are really frustrated.

Anyway, we are going to have a Muslim Wedding Ceremony on 30th May and will have reception right after that in my country in Indonesia. He will return to US a month after the wedding and we will come back to wait the Visa till we get to stay together and get to sign the marriage paper in the US.

Lets pray the best for all of us who haven't received any progress about our Visa. Keep the finger cross!!

Yes, the frustration levels rise and fall. I was really hoping at the 6 month mark there would be some news. Congratulations on your ceremony! Im sure you will enjoy your time together. I haven't seen my Fiance since October 2014 because I didn't want us to both have to make two trips there due to the cost. My Fiance works in the Bahamas right now, so we will go to the DR for the interview and medical etc. I'm thinking now I'm going to have to make a short trip

Yes, i'm praying every night that we hear something! I will keep you in my prayers as well.

So yesterday was 6 months since we filed our I29F and not a peep since it was received on 11/10/14 at TSC. I submitted a inquiry and got a automated response that it was not outside the normal porcessing time. The page with the processing times has not been updated since February 28, 2015 and it says the last application processed was August 23, 2014.

Im frustrated to say the least because how can they say its not outside the normal processing when they havent even updated that chart since 2/28/15. On top of that on February 28th they had only processed through August 23?? Really... you've got to be kidding me. I see people all the time getting their interviews just 3 short months after they submit their application...

Sorry for the rant and I know all the, it takes time and be patient comments but im at my wits end, im tired of waiting. :( Has anyone in that time frame at TSC been approved lately? Any other suggestions of ways to get info on where my app stands??

We are in the same situation. TSC. First NOA on or around Nov. 10. I even hired a lawyer thinking that would help... Still waiting. Let's keep our fingers crossed.. Something happens soon.

Hi bungajustin!!

I'm sorry the TSC cases are like this.... It's so irritating and I feel for each of you going through this.

The question I have for you is are you changing your K1 visa to a CR1 visa now?

Not to be a bahumbug... but if you're still planning on entering the US using a K1 visa you cannot get married in any capacity. If they suspect you're married or have done any type of ceremony that looks like a "marriage ceremony" they WILL deny you. It doesn't matter if you're doing a religious ceremony in your country and just waiting to sign the paperwork here. It will still officially be a wedding and then NOT qualify for the K1 visa.

Remember... a K1 visa is an intent to marry in the US visa.... It cannot be used if you're already married. You'll have to file the spousal visa. Also understand if you do that, you'll have to start the entire process again. The visas don't "transfer" unfortunately. :(

Hi Romet,

Thanks for your view.

It's really difficult situation for me. Here in my country family won't let me move and get married in the US without doing ceremony. So we are doing it only within family just to make it done in religious way before we get to move. And we hope that they won't notice this.

But i got your point. I will rethinks and replan further as it will be even worse if they deny our application and have to start all over again. Thanks

I totally understand that many countries expect their daughters especially to be married before they move out. I'm sorry to give you this news and not trying to scare you.. I just would hate if you mentioned that and they automatically deny you on the spot. You should look up VJ posts regarding that here. One of the things I notice many CO's do is try to say "you're already married" to deny cases.

Best wish and fingers crossed for you regardless!!

But if I keep the ceremony secret and not to mention about it anywhere in our paper and even interview. Do u think it still possible? Or somehow they would know it maybe by some investigation or something?

I am just thinking if I keep it secret between my self and family how would they even know it.

The religious ceremony cannot be a secret and at some point in your visa process it will show up like you'll be asked to do a police clearance in packet 3 that will show if your single or married and it's valid for only a short period of time. Another thing if god willing you worked that out and she got approved, the dates of the contracts in her country and in America should be the same! it's gonna be confusing. At some point before the interview usually the U.S consulate verify the information they have in your file cuz what if she's already married!!

If you're thinking about doing the ceremony without certifying any marriage contract or anything, that's not how the ceremony is supposed to be so it'll be useless and her family isn't gonna believe it!

Don't play the consulate that's a huge risk I wouldn't advise anyone to take

Good point honey... (that's my fiance speaking there ;) ).... You're right. You don't want to mess with the consulate. They asked my fiance (Egyptian) MANY questions we didn't at all anticipate they would ask.

hey, does anyone know about the visa status once you submit your AOS and get the notification of acceptance? I assume it's ok to stay in the country while your AOS is being processed, even if your 90 days are up... we took a while to get the marriage cert arranged cos we were so happy to be together finally and were seeing friends and family. we'll be officially getting married on monday and then submit the AOS asap, which will leave us about 5-6 weeks before the 90 days is up.
