just to warn any of the uk/english filers if you need copies of birth certificates to apply for them asap

i filed for mine at the beginning of march and after speaking to someone today I'm not to expect them until the end of april so they're taking 2 months to process.

so obviously i don't want you guys to be waiting on something stupid like that after you all do get approvals!

i seriously don't get how every important file based job seems to be so extraordinarily behind... :ranting:

Thank you! :)

Everything went well at the interview yesterday and my fiancee was approved! :D

I do have a question - at what point will the status change on CEAC, and what will it change to? The status still says 'Ready' today, though it does have a last updated date of 15 April.

You'll be fine, but good luck anyway! I read a couple of reviews before going and everything happened exactly the way I expected it to go. That might help calm your nerves. :)

i've got a friend who works for ICE...not USCIS but she sent some emails to inquire...was able to find out that our paperwork is apparently out for the background checks...not sure how long it will take but its better than just sitting in a stack...(heard this on 4/10; no updates as of yet)

so question...is this a background check on me? her? or both? and if her or both i'm just curious as to why since doesn't she have to get police documents at a later time?

We had our interview yesterday and was handed a "Refusal worksheet" stating we are "ineligible to receive a visa..." under Section 221 (g). Then on the bottom it say "Further consideration will be given to your visa application after you obtain and presend the documents listed above and/or the following: EVIDENCE OF RELATIONSHIP.

During the application process I've already submitted iMessage log, Facetime, and viber message. I didn't submit the WHOLE log as it is a lot, so I submitted when we started talking and the last month of our conversation.

We asked the CO what type of evidence do you want and his response was "I don't know, that is up to you to find out". We mention our iMessage, Facetime, and viber and he say it was not enough. Needless to say he was not very helpful.

I don't know what evidence are they looking for. Were the evidence I submitted weren't enough, should I gather the WHOLE history of our iMessage, Facetime and viber and send it to them? We just don't know what type of evidence are they looking for.

We are seriously thinking of hiring a lawyer to help us with this now. Before we do that I just want to ask if anyone has this issue before? Please help

Did you gave them photos too? Receipts, like hotels or restaurants, I wonder what evidences they still need, are you crossing the boarder Often to see your fiancée? If yes, I know they don't stamp your passport but atleast they should know that because that will show in the database of immigration ( I hope )

I'm sorry to hear this but I know you will find a way. Now I am more nervous, my fiancé crossed the boarder almost every Sunday just to be with me but they don't stamp his passport, but we always take a picture for us to bring on my interview.
