Just bought my plane ticket to be with my fiancé for his interview!!! Happy to see so many approvals lately, yay your almost together!!

This is exactly my self question this morning, I am the beneficiary, am I allowed to bring my fiancé inside the embassy during the interview?

Wondering this too...I've been advised by other UK VJers that there's a spot on the Form Readiness to indicate whether or not someone will be attending the interview with you but...there wasn't! Either way I'm planning on going over there for my fiancée's interview but obviously I'd rather be inside the embassy with her.

Hey guys congrats to all of those who have received approvals...I'm praying for one soon.i have a question which probably has been discussed but I missed it. Is it too early for my fiancé to start getting his stuff done for the medical ?He already has police certificate and proof he's never been married I just want to make sure that there isn't a timeframe that everything has to fall within. I can't seem to find much info on Ethiopia up here however I want to be ahead of the game when my time comes. Thanks in advance!

I think all consulates/embassies are different. I heard Ecuador is serious business many recommend it and you're allowed to be present, but lately I've seen approvals without the presence of the petitioner. Honestly i just want to be there with him, its a special moment for us!!

Hello Ke&Abdi !!

Check out your embassy page here on VJ and maybe private message some people to get a more specific understanding of what your consulate actually requires.

http://www.visajourney.com/portals/memberlist.php?country=Ethiopia

http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Ethiopia&cty=&dfilter=5&topic=K1+Visa

I wouldn't do too many things in the medical because certain results have a "time" requirement (ie: TB test). However, you may want to call the clinic the embassy uses for medical and ask what can be done NOW in preparation for your medical requirements.

Also, does the police report in Ethopia have a "time limit"?

I've gotten the most information from people out of Egypt that has already gone through the process. As folks say all the time, every consulate/embassy is different, so it's best to go right to the source. (((Sorry if this is presumptuous that you haven't already done all of this)))....

Good luck!!!! And of course we're here when you need us. :) :) :)

My fiancée said hers was very straightforward - they just wanted her LND case number, plus the list of things you're supposed to bring obviously. She didn't have proof of a second MMR vaccine (if I'm remembering right), so she just got the jab there.
