NVC letters are rare-like unicorn in a rainbow meadow rare-you need to keep calling the NVC until you get through. Considering it's been about a month and a half-your case is more than likely collecting dust in Australia. Keep trying, I know it's painstakingly boring hanging on hold for 30-45 minutes, but you need these numbers so you can move forward with the next steps.

haha!

so, I need that case number for things to move forward here? I assumed the embassy would just send me a letter/parcel that I can work with.

I don't care about being on hold, I just wanna know what's happening

Thank you for your replies

Yes, when you call make sure to ask for the Case Number, Invoice Number, and Beneficiary ID number as you'll need those for the DS-160 and visa payment.

Once you get your case number, you'll be able to track where your case is on CEAC. Hope that helps! Good luck!

Nyay! When my Fiancè called the NVC he only asked our case number, we don't have idea about the invoice number and beneficiary I'd number.. Should I let him call the NVC again for these?

Yes, I would as you need those other numbers for payment and form filing.

I didn't ask for those either, and I worried too, but I have been able to pay for and fill out everything just fine having only received my Case Number.

Andymack, out of curiosity when did you get a interview for? I'm still having technical difficulties scheduling my interview and I know we're at different consulates, but I'm curious how far out they're booking interviews over there.

March 17 was the earliest available date, and the one I chose. But when I booked, there were available appointments every weekday for the remainder of March (I didn't bother looking into April).

I booked my interview for Canada and didnt need those numbers, but I do have them. So maybe it depends on country?

Thanks! I got mine today and it's March 10th! I could see Montreal online too and the earliest there was March 25th, so I'm glad you got one earlier than that.

No idea, probably open today? Calling early in the morning seems to work best. Everyone keep in mind that the NVC will be closed Monday, Feb 16th, as that's a US holiday

Great, ty. Still haven't gotten through -.- but good news nonetheless: as I was drifting to sleep last night I thought maybe notifications from nvc have gone to junk mail and when my fiancé checked, there was indeed a notification saying that our file was received by the Sydney consulate! No case number, but at least we know it's already moved around the globe :)

Thats so strange cuz i called today and they told me they will EMAIL me the results. And said they recieved my packet today and dont have a case number on it right now it can take up to 42 days ....

Please keep posting your status, cuz we r in the same situation as you. My fiancée is on a student visa and our case is STUCK at NVC since 1/20. We are still waiting for our status to change to "in transit". Due to the bad weather the past week and maybe this week too, our case will be STUCK at NVC for a while.

From what I gather I am GUESSING you'll get a RFE notice asking for a copy of PR card and/or letter. I was advised to EMAIL them the proof of PR and request that further communication be done via email and that they email you pack you packet 3 and 4. I think MTL email address is the same email address of the packet 3 link andymack provided earlier.
