at least there was a contender though! :)

once everyone here gets married please post a picture would be lovely to see you all on your special days :D

celebrate the hardest part of this journey being over with! thank god for vj

I think that's a lovely idea! We won't be having our "wedding" until July 2016 though, want to save up for awhile!

I finished my DS-160 last night, that's an epic form. The instructions are so vague I had to google every 4th question or so. I tried to schedule an interview but it says there are none available :(

But it also says they're updating the website and when that's done there will be more availability. I'm hoping to move at the end of March, I hope I can get this all done by then!

I can't schedule my medical without an interview date, so that is also on hold. I emailed for Packet 3, and I have everything ready, so hopefully it comes soon!

That's exciting about your wedding dress Pheebs. I bought mine from the first store I went to as well. I went to some other stores after, but went back to that first store and bought it. Nothing wrong with that!

It's exciting to see our first approval! Good luck to everyone else!!

Seriously the DS-160 is hellish. I've done it three times before due to having J1 visas in the past and I STILL referred to the VJ example AND got confused lol!

Yeah I may well go back, I'll check out one or two other places just to make sure ;)

That must be exciting Pheebs, trying a wedding dress?! Oh heavens, I would be nervous too! Lol! Last Sunday, my fiancé and I went to see wedding rings, it stressed me out though, my engagement ring is a 2.29 stone in solitaire, I can't find a ring that fit good with it.. ?

Even though the CEAC says that we can book our interviews, you can't actually book interviews at Montreal until they email you back the Packet 4. If you manage to book an interview without Packet 4, they will cancel it on you...Check out the first page of the Packet 3

I just don't want you to get disappointed if you book an interview, plan your travel, and then it gets cancelled!

I am going wedding dress shopping this Saturday! I am pretty excited :)

Your packet 3 looks way way different than mine, it's much more up to date and modern. Mine doesn't have that warning about the interview. Montreal seems to have it more together than Vancouver!

Oh shoot! I totally forgot you were Vancouver! Maybe you can book an interview before your medical then! Does it look like other people were able to book their interviews?

I never really looked into the Vancouver process but maybe I should for general knowledge sake... :hehe:

I still think you're right about needing to wait for packet 4. I will just be patient for a few days and wait for packet 4, and then see what happens.

The sample packet 3 link you posted is dated Oct 2013, is your packet 3 checklist the same as the sample? What about items on the check list that doesn't apply to you, for example Court record and Military record? Did write N/A or did you just checkmark those items?

11/25/2014 I-129f mailed to Dallas Lockbox

12/04/2014 Receipt NOA 1 via email

12/10/2014 Receipt hard copy NOA 1

12/24/2014 Receipt NOA 2 via checking website

12/26/2014 Receipt hard copy NOA 2

01/20/2014 On hold for ONLY 30 min, got our case# MTL 1234....

02/10/2014 Called NVC (4 times in 3weeks) no update. Checked website in afternoon, IN TRANSIT?!!

02/11/2014 READY. After 21 days of no activity our status magically jumped 2 levels in less than 24hr.

Emailed MONTREAL-IV-DV@STATE.GOV requested further communication via email.

02/17/2014 Got an email response from MTL "Your file is being reviewed. We soon provide you instructions."

03/04/2014 Submitted multiple inquiries with no response! Tired of waiting around, so emailed in Packet 3 with copy of student visa.

03/09/2014 CEAC Status Date changed AGAIN to today. Hope this mean we'll be getting Packet 4 soon.

03/11/2014 GOT PACKET 4! CEAC Status Date changed.

04/17/2014 Interview appointment.
