..and I filed our petition in Nov.we have our NOA1 just waiting now.however just w One thing I hate about waiting for approval is that it makes you think and second guess..."was there enough evidence in my packet?, did I triple check it ...lol etc. I say all this to say my waiting time is making me worry about do we have enough proof ...

I think that worry of "did I put in enough evidence" is pretty normal - that's why people end up sending 200+ page packets, but at this point its all sent in and it's completely out of your hands! Try not to stress about something beyond your control. It sounds like you put a lot of evidence in there, and put your heart into your package. Just take a breath and trust in God that things will work out, even if its not necessarily in the time frame that we always want. :)

I called NVC today right at 6:59 EST - was only on hold for 6 minutes! Unfortunately, they have not received my package from California yet. I might wait another week, and try again.

I guess I'm lucky that my fiance and I are in driving distance, I'm happy for everyone getting to see their partner while they wait!

I called NVC this morning and they dont have my case yet. My NOA2 was dated Dec 17th. The lady said that it's normal and I shouldnt worry. She said they havent received it, but I wonder if they have and just no one's opened it yet. She told me to call back closer to the 21st (35 days) for an update. Grrr.

I'm in the same situation right now. I got my NOA 2 on 12/23, however I have not receive a hard copy of the NOA 2 yet. I estimate that it would take about 2 weeks for NVC to receive our package. So I called them on 1/8 and they told me the same story, that it could take up to 35 days for them to receive it. I'll continue to call them, hopefully they'll be receiving our package soon.

11/25/2014 I-129f mailed to Dallas Lockbox

12/04/2014 Receipt NOA 1 via email

12/10/2014 Receipt hard copy NOA 1

12/24/2014 Receipt NOA 2 via checking website

12/26/2014 Receipt hard copy NOA 2

01/20/2014 On hold for ONLY 30 min, got our case# MTL 1234....

02/10/2014 Called NVC (4 times in 3weeks) no update. Checked website in afternoon, IN TRANSIT?!!

02/11/2014 READY. After 21 days of no activity our status magically jumped 2 levels in less than 24hr.

Emailed MONTREAL-IV-DV@STATE.GOV requested further communication via email.

02/17/2014 Got an email response from MTL "Your file is being reviewed. We soon provide you instructions."

03/04/2014 Submitted multiple inquiries with no response! Tired of waiting around, so emailed in Packet 3 with copy of student visa.

03/09/2014 CEAC Status Date changed AGAIN to today. Hope this mean we'll be getting Packet 4 soon.

03/11/2014 GOT PACKET 4! CEAC Status Date changed.

04/17/2014 Interview appointment.

Call them a couple of times a week. :) Well.. that's if you have the time and/or patience. I called Monday the 29th and they hadn't received it yet, but they DID receive it the next day. I didn't call back until the FOLLOWING Monday for them to tell me they received it on Dec. 30th and gave me the case number. BTW - I haven't received anything in the mail from them regarding that and am not sure if I will. Your's will probably be there sometime this week.

Hey guys! First let me say I know I may not say much ,but I constantly check in to see what's going on.... And I truly love and appreciate the support system within this group. My name is Kiera I left the U.S Aug9 to go and teach in Ethiopia...after having something traumatic happen my year before I left I need a change in scenery and wanted to stay productive if I wasn't going straight to Grad School...anyway I met my fiancé Abdu while I was teaching I was a 1st grade English Teacher and he was an IT teacher and administrator... In so little words The one year I spent in Ethiopia allowed me to do some self-healing,inspire others and most of all meet the man I always prayed to God for...the one man who opened my heart to love and taught me how to love again . Fast forward ..Abdu proposed to me on my birthday.....he said I was born for him...God created me just for him and led us to each other...from that day we decided to do the k-1 I returned to the states to teach and I filed our petition in Nov.we have our NOA1 just waiting now.however just w One thing I hate about waiting for approval is that it makes you think and second guess..."was there enough evidence in my packet?, did I triple check it ...lol etc. I say all this to say my waiting time is making me worry about do we have enough proof ...we sent pictures(we took a lot of engagement pictures...and a few others ...crazy but when we were together it never occurred to us to take a bunch of pics we just enjoyed our time), pictures of cards he had given me and flowers he sent me(all gifts while dating)viber chat logs, emails, phone cards, witness letter from friends and parents...a long statement in depth about how we met and why we want to be married. I also sent my proof of contract working there,my work permit etc and All necessary k-1formsforms.currently we only use viber ,and phone cards to communicate. However, being that as a teacher I have very few days off if we get approved do you guys thinkit would hurt our case that I didn't visit again...if I could I would but I need my job you know....though I'm wondering what other thing could I collect or do that we help make our process a smooth one.sorry for the long message...had a lot on the brain.

Love your story... :)

I'm sure you sent the proper amount of "evidence". As far as visiting, you've spent significant time with your fiance and I can't imagine they would make a big deal if you didn't visit until he is approved. OF COURSE I CAN NOT SPEAK FOR ANY CONSULATE (My fiance's consulate is EGYPT and is one of the most difficult consulates in the world).

It's funny cause I NEVER THOUGHT that pictures and such would be so important as "proof of evidences". Like you, we didn't take that many pics on my trips there as we were trying to enjoy our time together not take pics the entire time. Thank God we took some but just never thought about it.

Good vibes being sent your way!!

Happy Birthday Pheebs!

I just got through to NVC again after 35 min on hold. Still no case number. I asked the lady (politely) if she knew why they take so long and she said she doesn't know, but USCIS sends visas to the NVC by the literal truckload. So, more waiting. I'll call Friday I guess!

We have the same NOA2 date and are both CSC filers...I bet our cases will arrive to NVC on the same truck!
