I have a strange question, lol. :innocent: We've received our NOA2 text/email version, and just awaiting on the hardcopy now. I know we need to wait a couple weeks then contact NVC to see if our paperwork has arrived there, and to get our case number, etc, etc. Then wait for it to go to transit to London. Then from there we can get the medical booked for my fiancé. My question is how long do we have to book the medical? As much as I would like to do things ASAP we need to stretch out the process a little bit as we have received the NOA2 much quicker than anticipated! We would ideally like my fiancé to officially move here in September. So is it possible to book the medical for like March-ish? Then proceed from there with the interview? Thank you again everyone for your help and I apologize if I've been asking too many questions lately! Just didn't expect to get to this stage in the process so soon! :energy:

There will be an expiration date on the NOA2, I think the medical and the interview needs to be before then. I think you can also request that London extend this date if necessary. Hope this helps!

(Usually about four months away, ours is March 20th I think)

Yes I believe it is typically six months from the date of the medical :)

Don't worry, I'm a VJ addict, it's a relief when I can use this to help others, it prevents my brain from exploding with information :P

Thank you :) we are pretty excited but now we are wondering if I should change my flight home and go back earlier, and have my medical sooner to get things moving along as I really want to be here by the end of february. Decisions decisions!

Yes it probably is affected depending on the beneficiary's country... also I've had three J1 visas previously which makes me think the government already knows a lot about me? Who knows!

Wait to you both have to get medical done? Do you both have to be interviewed? Yes I agree i Think it also depends on the beneficiary's country. they need to start working on MAROC now!! :P

Federal employees have the 25th and 26th off, as well as 1 January.

I don't know what's the norm in Texas or California or another department, but the agency I work for most of us have either started our leave or will begin on Wednesday. Most will be off until 2 January. Again, I'm a federal employee, but work in DC and for an agency in a completely different department than the USCIS... So it may be a little different.

Thank you!! im hoping we get our noa2 next week..

I called NVC last monday and was told that they Haven't received our Case from USCIS yet. How would I know if they received it already? Will it show on USCIS website? Or i have to call them? I sent NVC an email but no reply Yet.

I just hope to get my MNL Case Number soon so I can go Medical Exam as this Medical Exam makes me Think every night. I'm so scared to undergo Medical Exam. I just Hope I'll pass it. Finger Crossed.

With CSC I think the only way to find out if they have received it is by calling, but I have heard that TSC update myUSCIS with this information? Not 100% sure.

Let me hop on a plane to Miami because that sounds awesome! :P

Yes Oregon is fab, although the past two days has been a lot of rain which is not common for this area. We are keeping our fingers crossed for snow in time for Christmas :D

Portland is so quirky and I love it!
