Hi,

My wife just finished her Medical and she has the interview on Monday 1 December at 1015, I have a question how much money will she need to pay at the consulate, I need to be ready cause she paid $1000 dollars for her medical examination...

$1000 USD just for her? OMG why why is it so much down there. And no monies she will need to pay at consulate.

Hurray!!!! :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

Been wondering how you were doing!!!!

Congrats!

Checked the site this am, no issue yet :(

(ok.... I have been checking it every 10 min, I won't lie) :jest:

Thank you! ^_^ I actually double checked, turns out CEAC is weird. It says issued but also says my visa is undergoing necessary administrative processing. So I lied I guess :(

The lady told me 1-1 1/2 weeks for it to get to me, so I'm hoping it'll be one week, or less. American Thanksgiving is important!!!

I am from Nov 2013 I -130 thread too, and welcome to the final stages….woohoo.. :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

Hello all. Checking in on the Interview thread.

Case Complete on November 14. Waiting for email confirmation and interview date in Santo Domingo. I'm hoping for January.

I see some of my mates here from the November 2013 I-130 thread. I'm glad to see folks moving along now. We had an AOS checklist and that set us back 60 days, but it feels good we are moving to the interview stage.

Hey everybody,

Just a quick question. We are still awaiting the full 60 days for the NVC to finish our case (Should be, according to the 60 days thing, in mid-December), however I was wondering if anyone has an idea if we'll have our interview date in early January? It would be best for us to get back before January 20th, and we're definitely hopeful that we can have our interview scheduled before then and be able to travel before then. Any idea on what to expect from the case being completed, interview date scheduled and the actual interview? Hoping for a quick finish to ours!!

Thanks everybody!!

Jamie and Tamara.

How you get scheduled all depends on your case complete date and how many in the queue ahead of you and how many slots your embassy has opened for that month. Obviously the sooner in the month you get case complete the better. There are already people waiting on the list here for January (who knows how many out there).

I am estimating because of the short week next week for the holiday I think January scheduling will start Dec.1

Awesome! ^_^ Hopefully that happens sooner than later! Are you entering the USA as soon as you get it back? I feel like we've talked about this once before :o Also I haven't said it to you personally but congrats!!!! I'm so happy my fellow Canadians are all approved <3

It was pretty funny. Though I didn't meet anyone from this website I did happen to see a family that went to the same immigration doctor as me! I didn't initiate contact though. :(

I'm planning to be on a plane as soon as I can.

And I got to meet P&DSigler. We got to cheer each other on and celebrate our approvals. Very nice to have met them!

Okay I got to tell you please stop worrying about a piece of paper. They told you what they are going to be doing . Why do you need a paper. You are in AP. So just be patient and wait until they call you back in. You are worrying over a piece of paper. Some get put in AP and don't even get the summary and explanation you were given. They told you verbally instead of writing it down okay.

OMG you're making me want mine even more, I didn't even think that was possible!

The word you're looking for is "indescribable" :P

Congratulations! Now go book your flight!

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I do hope we are not waiting a week.... I need to drive cross-country still to make turkey-day with my kids (and the weather is certainly not improving)!!

I want to say a big Congratulations to everybody who has received their Visas or have been approved recently.v it is wonderful to see so many people coming to the end of the journey.

For those who are experiencing difficulties either getting to the interview or being approved it is just another obstacle in the journey. It will happen and it won't be long and you will be back with your loved ones.

LOVED the story fro the UK - issued on the spot. Goes to show it can be done.

I emailed Sydney a Consulate last night asking for an earlier interview date. Heard back from them with an automated response that they will answer in 1-2 business days. Might hear before the weekend. If it is a no then that is fine but at least we know what we are working with. Will keep you posted.
