Just to update you all. I had to go back to the London embassy today because they couldn't get my electronic signature on Monday because of a computer glitch. Wasn't happy at all. Got there early and thought they were not going to let me in. Cue tears, panic and calling the missus. But they did. Saw a different CO from Monday who took my prints again and apologised for the inconvenience. Told me they took them electronically to make sure I was a good guy and not a bad guy. I asked could I wait in the embassy until it showed AP and he said take a seat, we'll print it now and it'll be ready in 20 mins. I was in shock. When I was called back, the interviewing CO from Monday was there and told me she had asked if she could give it to me as I was so lovely and so happy when she told me I was approved that I made her day. I'm now in Oxford St. with the Crown Jewels in a Marks and Spencer carrier bag because it's too big to fit in my laptop bag and I'm terrified of bending it or leaving it somewhere. So happy right now I could cry. And it's the first time in my life I've ever been described as lovely :)

awwww isn't that sweet. WOW printed right there. Congratulations. That's like when I had to get emergency passport in Nigeria printed right there so cool. We love our embassy.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience.

I can see 2 red flags in your situation (even though I am no expert in this). Age difference and your wife's ex-boyfriend. So they might be doing investigation on the legitimacy of your married relationship with your wife and how genuine it is.

By the way, I am curious how did they find out about your wife's ex-boyfriend. I can understand fiance or husband but boyfriend?????????? Did you mention somewhere on the forms?

Hey everybody,

Just a quick question. We are still awaiting the full 60 days for the NVC to finish our case (Should be, according to the 60 days thing, in mid-December), however I was wondering if anyone has an idea if we'll have our interview date in early January? It would be best for us to get back before January 20th, and we're definitely hopeful that we can have our interview scheduled before then and be able to travel before then. Any idea on what to expect from the case being completed, interview date scheduled and the actual interview? Hoping for a quick finish to ours!!

Thanks everybody!!

Jamie and Tamara.

Did you call NVC? to see if they are still scheduline for December you may get end of December. I got cc on 10.31.14 Interview date on 11.12.14 and they were closed for two days which I think that was the delay

but, if you call they will let you know.

Really? I will call today!! I'm going to be visiting the 24th through January 2. That would awesome if they squeezed us in!!

Thank you :) now I'm wondering if Teacup got credit for her rescheduling letter and austincanada got kudos for his hatha yoga half shoulder stand, do I get to go in the VJ record books for fastest AP ever? 10 minutes :)

I didn't actually realise right away they printed your visa for you there and then, I thought it was some kind of print out to confirm you were in AP. Then I read it a couple more times, saw about the "crown jewels" and put two and two together XD

That was actually pretty amazing of them to realise they had inconvenienced you and to go above and beyond to rectify it like that. A lot of the time when things like that happen, they tend to shrug their shoulders and go into pen-pusher mode, but I'm seriously impressed and so happy for you that it all turned out okay.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Thank you, me too. I should probably put my experience up on the consulate review page in case it should happen to someone else in the future. I think I might have influenced him a little by saying I was worried about taking another day off work because that might influence my references ;)

Hello all. Checking in on the Interview thread.

Case Complete on November 14. Waiting for email confirmation and interview date in Santo Domingo. I'm hoping for January.

I see some of my mates here from the November 2013 I-130 thread. I'm glad to see folks moving along now. We had an AOS checklist and that set us back 60 days, but it feels good we are moving to the interview stage.

Congratulations. Welcome to the group. I have added you to the spreadsheet.

Interview scheduling I am estimating because of next weeks short week will more than likely start Dec1.
