My wife's Visa was approved in Bogota yesterday! Relatively painless and easy.

BTW, after getting approval, they gave her the approval notice. It's a white piece of paper. I read from some vietnamese forums that the approval notice is pink. Why is hers white? Does the color of paper mean anything?

Can anyone advice me on how does address change (Petitioner's) affect me at interview? I have received my interview date (we have changed address with NVC over phone).Do we need to change it in Ds-260 at the time of interview? or do we need to change AOS?

You better change at interview, and on USCIS and you will have new address when you pay the $165. This address is very important because this is where the green card will go. So please tell CO the change at interview. Tell your spouse to go ti the USCIS.gov and change the address there as well.

Got my visa in hand! Just 2 days after my interview Was about time after 13 months...

You must not open it. We were given the same envelopes. they joined two envelopes together but on the second one was a white paper attached to it and in there was the name of the embassy, my husband name, the address, the ir1 visa category and also the scanned picture on this paper. my husband had to call the embassy and he was told that he should no open any of these envelopes and he should deliver it to the immigration officer at the POE the way they have sent it to him. So I urge you never to open it. they have already cut edge of the envelope in other to let you know what that the document inside the envelope is your information. So therefore do not open it.

So glad you mentioned that there is an edge cut off on your envelope as well I was so worried if there was something wrong with mine when I got it today.

hi, my interview with the london embassy in on dec 22nd, it is likely that i will be moving house before then and so I have been trying to get hold of the appropriate number / email address so that I can inform the embassy ahead of my interview. i want to be absolute certain that will be no problems due to the address change. NVC referred me to a link on the embassy's website but it doesnt actually help as there doesnt seem to be a contact number for visa interview related queries.....does anyone know how I can get through to them?

Your address is of no important at this point. Just tell CO at interview. The petitioners address is what matters. Only if you were being investigated (highly unlikely for UK). Don't email and confuse things.

We have not changed that. we only change our address after the visa on USCIS. But when my husband get home, we will send in another I 864 form with the new address to them so that they can document it.

My hubby just had his interview in US Embassy Manila. He got APPROVED! ?

Thank God this painful ordeal is almost done, he will just have to wait for his visa to be delivered to their house!

Good afternoon to all VJ friends, i received my husbands interview letter today via email. I have a question is it common for the letter in the top portion to say:

The NVC completed the domestic pre-processing of the immigrant visa petition.

I have seen a few but i think i never saw it said domestic pre-processing.?? I might be wrong.

Can someone please confirm all letters are the same.

You don't have to be worried at all. Just give it to the immigration officer the way they've sent it to you. Congratulations

We finally received our interview "packet" yesterday. Which is only two pieces of paper. One about the medical which you can find online. The second was a generic letter in Serbian with my husband's name and interview date/time handwritten to the top out about what to bring. Is this really the packet (#3 & 4)? On the VJ timeline it asked when packet #3 is finished. I don't understand that.

Packet 3 does not pertain to IR1/CR1. That's their packet f all the forms and such they fill out. Packet 4 is the interview letter that's all you get. Some embassies send more to people like you some don;t but no packet 3.
